Does Santander still have Passbook accounts ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

It will definitely have a sort code and account number.
All building society passbooks for example have a sort code and account number usually quoted just inside the front or back covers. This is the sort code and account number for the building society with their clearing bank.
You then have to quote the roll number (which is your account number with the building society) as a reference.
However if it is a passbook type account you may not be able to get online access. Perhaps now is the time to change the type of savings account you have with them for possibly better interest rates.
This passbook does not, just a roll number I think.
The account cannot be changed. I have asked them before.0 -

Yes I am thinking I will just leave it. To be honest, I just wanted it as there is a Santander right next to me and it make it easy if i have some cash I need to pay into my account.0 -

I have to work I have no time to wait in there.
The CS line does not know anything about passbooks, I called them before and they could not find the account. All they keep asking for is an account number and sort code, if its just a roll number you might as well talk to a brick wall.
Perhaps I should just call it a day with this account.0 -

Here I found you an answer.

Passbooks are only accessible by branch, No online or telephone access, It's an old fashion branch account that really has no use in modern banking...
Open a new one :P be much easier.0 -
Thanks, but I know online access is possible, a relative has it set up.
Forgot to add, Santander would not give me another account, so this is why I was trying to save this one.
I don't have any other options for a local branch.0 -

Online access for what though?
You can see the balance online but in all probability you won't be able to transact.0
