I'm expecting a bit of a u-turn on the planned cut in Police budgets. The political fall out of a serious terrorist attack being indirectly assisted by Osborne's austerity programme would be catastrophic for him and the Tories. I think his dream of a budget surplus might be delayed a tad. 😀

we could have benefitted from this during the IRA killing campaign:
maybe a few prominent MPs could have used the Anti-Terrorist hotline to some benefit

better to do something that might help an eventual peace process : but why would the left care about that?
