I haven't really started my christmas shopping yet as its DGD1 b'day tomoz and she is four.
Her mum told me what she wanted me to get and "advised" that she had already ordered in anticipation.
She came around on sunday evening and calmly announced that I could no longer give the said gift as she had decided it was from her for christmas
Today I will have to go out and get something but have also been told "no this, no that" etc and walked around Smyths last night and came home with nothing....I feel very hurt as I seem to be pushed out more and more
That seems really unfair
I always show my mother in law what I think my girls would like, often with Amazon links.
Some years she has a lot on (health problems / divorce) and she asks me to pick them up for her but I always take her lead.
Maybe take DGD out and buy something of her choosing?0 -
Only the codes from the code board £15 no min spend one, and free delivery one. (but of course it's already free
)
Didn't you say you have already used code on your account though.I was looking for some nice French wine for Mr TS and there is one for £27 at the moment. Need I say anymore. :cool:
Although I still have not ordered somehow I think paying so little might look a bit suspect. :rotfl:Oh no did I break it.0 -

Ouch. My sympathies.
Having seen what my two DGC generate from elsewhere at Christmas, last year I decided to go for just one reasonable toy each plus about half a dozen very small fillers. It all went down amazingly well.
And left cash in the bank for ongoing treats all year. Which is a big consideration when a comic apiece and a bag of sweets adds up to over £10 a time.
How about a smallish toy to open on the day plus one of the outing packages that others have mentioned. It's much more memorable and the parents get some time off as well, while you enjoy quality time with your little one. xx“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

The future is brighter now.
It's what you make it of course, but as I found myself, sometimes being in the wrong thing clouds the vision so much you just cannot see any alternative possibilities.
Thank youthose are incredibly wise words and ones I shall make a note of for future use
