    Afternoon all :hello:

I don't know your circumstances wendyak, but at this time of year there is so much stress / pressure that nanny and grandad can often feel a bit left out :o.

Maybe a drum kit / clarinet / something noisy would remind them to keep you in the loop

I actually thought of that but I'm not that mean, but the no list is massive and she is a child with every toy in the shop...often the whole range :(

    Good Morning. :)

Think I will tag along with Harry and Emerald today, nothing like a bit of retail therapy to cheer you up. ;)

And I am a bit down in the dumps at the moment, hopefully this lovely sunshine Poole has will brighten my day too. :)

You should been there, Tinyshoes :)

    I went to 6 shops, 30 transactions @ £5 for me to be given back = £150

Stamps, beer, crisps a real bargain anyway £2 reduced from £3 @ Spar for a 30 box dated 26 Feb 2016 so look out for those, people

Oh Sarah the only reason I can be so organised is I am retired widowed and only have to take care of myself;) What about giving them vouchers to spent in shops they like eg Waterstones if they like to read or River Island if they like clothes and then get them some PJ's and fluffy slippers for you to wrap alongside the obligatory Selection box:xmastree:

    And chocolate coins.

Perhaps just a gift voucher for the toy shop. My brother ( the one who left my elderly parents with a massive mortgage!! -from his failed businesses ) had 3 daughters who always had every present there was to have every year. Whereas my children had what we could afford and I know whose children turned out better!!
Watched a programme about families on benefits who are obsessed with beauty pageants and the must have attitude was unbelievable!! One family had 3 children under 3, 2 of whom had their own IPad , the father had 3 games consoles and about 150 games and they entered all 3 into pageants!! Yet they fed them mainly on crisps ( the cheap ones too !!!).
I am not against benefits if you need them and there are plenty of people who do but these people too the biscuit. Watch it if your blood pressure can take it!!

Maybe an experience instead of a thing?

These suggestions might be naff - I know my DS1 (2year 9month old) would enjoy them though.

Trip to somewhere on the train with grandparents - then a nice cafe for lunch / tea & cake?

Day at a local zoo / farm / playbarn with grandparents?

Film of her choice at cinema with grandparents, popcorn and sweets included?

No yet, I just had the general 'thanks for pulling a cracker' one. I expect they'll send them all at the end of the day (or not bother and just post it :))
