I had a great womble today: a huge heavy plastic sheet Home Bargains sign! (The ones they put up on the wall above the shop) They were putting up a new one so I asked if I could have the old one for the lottie to stop the weeds growing and they folded it up and it took up the whole of the back of the car. It took 3 of them to fold it. Hopefully it will be more difficult for the wind to lift it like it does the ordinary plastic sheeting.0

Oh Josie that's awful......can you start some of your hand overs now and suggest that it might be a good idea while you are around for someone else to take over the reins.....the safeguarding will still be there when you have left....you need to take care of your own well beingTo do is to be. Has anyone tried selection boxes vs M today to see if the M 2 for £2 deal was picked up on the APG?
No sorry - I know it's a good difference if it turns out to work and helpful for spending some of those larger vouchers some of us may have got recently. I might have gone for this if it turned out to go onto 2 for £3 mbuy offer but if online still showed £2:D. There's lots of quite good M offers for comparison purposes at the moment!0 -
Maths on my toothbrushes worked out worse but still acceptably. So I got this for £25, reduced from £69.99 (but commonly available for less) http://www.superdrug.com/Toiletries/Dental/Electrical-Toothbrush/Oral-b-Pro-2000-Pink/p/473701#.VmHlTTEnyUk
Some pink, some blue.
£25 less £5 Amex = £20.
You can sell the chargers for £11, I've got a 75% off final value fee so about £7.50 proceeds after fees & P&P.
Brings the cost down to £12.50 for a decent enough toothbrush.0 -

I have a few patients that I need to tie the loose ends up with. The guilt really eats you up doesn't it?josie_ann57 wrote: »I had a great womble today: a huge heavy plastic sheet Home Bargains sign! 1x Barratt Flumps (12G) £0.10 £0.10
1x Domestos Aqua Blast Power Bleach (750ML) £1.00 £1.00
1x Domestos Lemon Power Bleach (750ML) £1.00 £1.00:oGood comps, vs Sains.?:eek::eek::rotfl:
The milk loses out very slightly vs S, so isn't a good comp:o. :oShould you not be waiting for the Bombay 1L Gin to go to £15 elsewhere? As I see it - and I think of it differently - £1 vs £1 on the Bleaches - would expect £1.98 vs £1 and a no-show to be good under my nasty approach(:laugh:). The Granola 750g for £2 is, for me, a bit high - given 1Kg SP Muesli at £1.18 (and vs T or M). £2 Granola price is 26.7p/100g. I used to look for 20p/100g - although nowadays even if I see that I then still decide (:wall:)SP Muesli is always cheaper than that so they never get onto any of my M lists for example!
In fact, 26.7p/100g looks like the £2 branded cereal boxes pricing which I always reject and go for £1.34/£1.49 offers elsewhere. £2 for 750g of the cereals, instead, such as the Kellogg's Corn Flakes (apart from the fact SP Corn Flakes way cheaper) and Frosties and Shredded Wheats and like, "offers" that are sometimes seen in A are too high prices for me and I always reject them. Waiting for sub-£2 pricing elsewhere!:):money: 26.7p:eek: per 100g is too dear - I need 20p per 100g or below (and, tbh, even 20p per 100g is quite expensive compared to Value range prices that I find often save more money - although the range of items you can get, e.g. cereals, within that is more limited).
On the Just Right 500g (v.small pack!), I waited until Morries Right Balance 500g was £1 (quite a while ago) and then tried to compare that. My attempt, unfortunately, did not work but that's the price I would be looking at on that type of item and, often, you can only reach that if at all on Kellogg's Just Right:eek: (v.v.expensive brand version) if a glitch happens to affect it. Hoping this post, posted with total good intentions, helps people save a lot of money!0 -
Bubbs, I need it spelt out in very simple terms
I see someone's posted shop and think, 'where's the glitch?' 'how did this benefit the buyer'?
TM, thank you, I will take your advice on board,:)0
