No, it worked, I'm alright. Although, I got Maltesers Tubes 75g the 75g ones:( as opposed to Maltesers Tube (or Carton?) 75g the 100g ones. So, assuming the OP bought 100g products, I've ended up with three-quarters of the amount for the same price:(. Never mind, if that's so, it was the amount of product I was expecting - like a fool I followed exactly what a.com said as the product description (how would you know to buy 100g or some other product if it says 75g on the mbuy missing product on a.com?).
15 items (6 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda sainsbury's
2x ASDA Chosen by You Wafer Thin Honey Roast Turkey (200G) £2.00 N/A
9x Maltesers Chocolate Tube 75g (75G) £9.00 £6.75
1x ASDA Smartprice Toilet Tissue (12ROLL) £1.95 N/A
1x ASDA Chosen by You Wafer Thin Cooked Beef (200G) £1.00 N/A
2x ASDA Smartprice Corn Flakes (500G) £0.50 £0.50
1x Haribo Starmix (1PK) £0.10 £0.10
0.21x ASDA Loose Carrot (order by number of carrots or select kg) (PER KG) £0.15 £0.12
1x ASDA Smartprice Peach Slices in Light Syrup (411G) £0.35 £0.35
1x Asda Smartprice Grapefruit Pieces in Light Syrup (540G) £0.35 £0.35
Comparison total (compared products only) £10.45 £8.17
+£2.28 cheaper
I was getting essential items I needed - bits I needed, but careful bits I needed. If you want a full analysis of my shop (if not then you'll need to skip!), I had to avoid Cooked Ham, Cooked Honey Roast Ham and Cooked Chicken because S stocks those and is much more expensive! In fact, if some of the Cooked Chicken were to pick up the Skinless Cooked Chicken (200g) in error against S - I didn't want to risk it! - it might have compared £1 (mbuy pricing) vs £4.40! I note one of the cooked meats in the A offer, on msm though that's not necessarily going to be the APG, shows T at £4.07:eek:! They have "---"s for Sains on there on some of the products for A even though S does have equivalents that just aren't linked up on msm. So I did a check of sains.co.uk as well. (I think - although it's a different product - one of the SP 400g Hams, although it just has A pricing on msm, does compare against Sains at £1.50 on the APG - and, unusually perhaps, S is the best competitor price.)
Bought SP Toilet Tissue 12 pack and lost 15p() compared to buying the 6 pack at £1 vs T at £1. I needed: (a) more toilet rolls; and (b) something that did not compare against S. SP Corn Flakes - two bought as I needed to get to the amount to spend a voucher and we do get through that many Corn Flakes!
A lucky Starmix - in case one of the items didn't count - and a couple of S Basics products that, unusually, aren't more expensive for S. Grapefruit is comparing against S only. My Carrots (I had to buy two - but we'll of course use them) are not N/A. Are the Carrots that were N/A the manual weighed ones - the ones where us customers weigh them on the machines - and get specific BCs based on that - does that explain the difference? Mine were priced by the SA weighing them at the till (they appear as BC ...579K).
I suspect I could not have bought 100g Maltesers "Cartons" in my store - although it turned out only Maltesers were on the offer (I should have read this thread!), they didn't have a lot of versions of the tubes so I reckon they're probably my useless store again and don't stock some bigger product. Anyway, a success, based on what I thought I was going to be getting. I figured the glitched price worked out better by their 75g weight than my 195g Maltesers Funsizes on 10% cheaper than £1 competitor pricing. I hope my maths are right and I pressed the right calculator buttons - if not, never mind, I got what I was after anyway.0 -

Rockingham:
6x Maltesers Chocolate Tube 75g £6.00£4.50
Mine:
9x Maltesers Chocolate Tube 75g (75G) £9.00 £6.75
We just bought different quantity. Pricing showing per tube/carton is the same. And, it seems, mine are 75g:( but Rockingham's 100g:T (well done).
Rockingham, how did you know to buy 100g when it says 75g on a.com?
They won't have the 100g version in my store anyway - I think I've tried before and they're useless!0 -
re T's Orchard, just had an email, anyone who chose the prosecco sponge to try and got that voucher-they are also sending us the christmas pudding voucher next week because the prosecco is selling fast and proving hard to get hold of...so we can report back on either.
Nice one. I managed to get 3 for free yesterday with mine. They're half price until the 6th (£5), so I used a £10 and 2 x £2.50 vouchers. Also had a coupon with them for free Cranberry sauce. I don't like either, but more for the hampers this year :rotfl:'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
Quick question for our eBay experts, I have won 4 tickets for Cinderella in Birmingham but unable to attend, can you sell tickets on eBay?

I think what Rockingham meant, was although it says tubes on the apg, the Malteasers are actually in a box and weigh 75g, whereas there are some actual tubes of other chocolates that weigh 100g, like this one.....

Just to note, check the T&Cs of TCB offers (and indeed across CS and CoS) - the Fruit Bowl offer has appeared on TCB but note it is 1 item only (not 10 that you can claim on CS and CoS).
