I don't know if this is news to anyone, but it is to me so I thought I'd better mention it.

Last week I did a cc. I knew that I had around £15 of my £100 limit that I could claim for October so I did a shop that I expected would return £10+.

I did the shop and claimed the apg only to get the dreaded "You have reached your monthly £100 limit"..:o

I had no idea why, however I eventually found out that my wife had claimed an apg for £15 a few days earlier, so I'm guessing that they must have gone by our address and put the overall limit on that.

However (and this is the interesting bit), I have just logged on to my account and I have been allowed to claim my apg from last week. So, if I am right, this might mean that in future you can go over your monthly £100 limit and then just claim the excess the following month. It might mean that if your calculations are out, you won't lose the amount over £100, you just have to reclaim it again the following month.

No real proof as yet, this is just me guessing, however it certainly seems that way..;)

Something similar happened to me It linked my instore apg to hubbys online account (9+1) I just rentered code into another account Only had 3 and 3rd on was DS's address but assumed everyone except me knew that it linked address I now have a 4th at my other address :rotfl:

    Nice bit of info SFSB

I cannot remembee whether I was posting on the old thread highlighted back then (search still not working for me!!) and haven't time to read all the way through ... however, if anyone has any rose tinted glasses (RTC/1p or otherwise :D) even a quick skim of the first few pages highlights it discussed similar topics though more T focused (and had some of the similar issues/challenges) as it does now.

    Equally friendly too :A.

Rose-tinted glasses that don't qualify as a grocery item and therefore don't take money off by comparing from 1p yet still count as one of the ten items!

(That's not quite how it works though is it? T Brand Guar. does not mention confining itself only to grocery items (though it checks the grocery shopping sites of A and S) but it excludes:

"items from the Pharmacy (including non-medicine items such as diabetes and blood pressure kits, travel plugs, travel irons, reading glasses and sunglasses)"

So the items would have to be from the pharmacy.

    And
    "opticians".

But you wouldn't get a TBG from anything in T Opticians.
The glasses would have to be non-comparable to elsewhere.)

The excluded products are maybe a good list to look at, if you need to shop in T anyway, need 10 items and want to do a TBG to get the price from somewhere else on your comparable branded products in your shopping.

So, plants and flowers, home & furniture, books... though obviously don't go unnecessarily buying things you weren't going to already. They are still included in the 10 items count aren't they? Although, reusable shopping bags I don't think are and therefore maybe these other items don't count! We need clarification from someone who knows!

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ribena-blackcurrant-no-added-sugar-850ml-2-bottles-for-1-00-heron-2341349

I may as well mention the Robinsons Double Strength 1.25L at £1 in M.

    EDIT: Though it's more costly than that - 850mlx2 = 1.7L.

Just had a "strange" phone call.
"Accident Verification Department" - does anyone know who they are?
I have had problems with my car unfortunately:( - all sorted now but I did need one of the breakdown services (which is why I bought breakdown cover this summer as thought I might need it). I was wondering if it was them. So I asked them which company they meant. They just repeated that "department" name to me. "Which company sorry?"

I'm trying to establish whether it is the breakdown service that are ringing me or whether it's someone touting for business - they don't know that I had the breakdown service out. Well, they then put me on hold! If you want to ring me, and then put me on hold, I'm not bothering - goodbye! So I just hung up - my time! They haven't rang again yet. Strange that the guy on the other end felt they had to put me on hold in order to work out how to answer such a simple question, if indeed they had any answer to it. I just wanted to know "are you the AA/RAC..."? But, apparently, a department. (...Of what?) Who are you?

    Who are they?
