"Accident Verification Department" - does anyone know who they are?
I have had problems with my car unfortunately:( - all sorted now but I did need one of the breakdown services (which is why I bought breakdown cover this summer as thought I might need it). I was wondering if it was them. So I asked them which company they meant. They just repeated that "department" name to me. "Which company sorry?"
I'm trying to establish whether it is the breakdown service that are ringing me or whether it's someone touting for business - they don't know that I had the breakdown service out. Well, they then put me on hold! If you want to ring me, and then put me on hold, I'm not bothering - goodbye! So I just hung up - my time! They haven't rang again yet. Strange that the guy on the other end felt they had to put me on hold in order to work out how to answer such a simple question, if indeed they had any answer to it. I just wanted to know "are you the AA/RAC..."? But, apparently, a department. (...Of what?) Who are you?
Who are they?
It's just one of these stupid scammy phone calls - trying their luck. Block is your friend
Edit - the last one of these I had, I said that I was involved in a major accident where I sadly died. I've not had one since
Probably not something to make light ofbut it got rid of them :rotfl:

It's probably a scam - I had one the other day so I just said I go everywhere on public transport using my free pass. It's not too much of a fib - I have used my pass three times already this year...“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Shop done yesterday at T's
5x Cathedral City Mature Cheddar (2x350g)
2x McCain Roasts (800g)
6 different barilla items
Plus fillers
Total cost before the brand guarantee kicked in was £48.
Got £19.50 brand guarantee
Used 3x cheese coupons, 2x mccain coupons, 6x barilla coupons and paid £9.50
Should have paid £5.50 but till wouldn't accept £4 off £40 spend due to the bgN1LDA0 -

Or just make the enquiries of them like I do to try to establish who I'm speaking to, and they soon ring off. I'm not revealing any information to them at all. Except it's all on the internet now:rotfl:, but hence my not being specific!0 -
