    Womble today A v T

Gammon seems expensive compared to what we got against morries

It does! So does the smaller (or larger according to msm:think:) gammon that's been £3 per kg in M since. I didn't think that was a really good offer but, to be fair, the price on the 1.4Kg was about £2.85/kg so it's not far off.

Do we have a Morries price on the comp. on the Ex. Spec. Goose Fat? Not that that's any good in M at the moment - I think they missed it off several years ago when it was down to £1 in M:mad:. That was for all of one week:( as they soon went back up to full price again - M obviously did not want people having that price for too long!

Most of the glitches seem to be on Wednesday or Thursday. Some people spend a lot of time in store at asda looking at multibuys and then checking the app to see if the multies are showing on a.com.

And some people spend a lot of time in Morries checking prices around the same time of the week and so never notice any mbuy glitches at A at all:rotfl:. Actually not too bad at all today in M - it's all finished and, hey, not even four o'clock yet!:D:T

One thing I have just been playing with is taking Savvy Sal's link and changing the number at the end up 1 number

You'll see that the red box under each product is empty so that indicates that the multibuy may be off when we compare on the APG

    Thanks, a good tip!
  • Throughout my treatment I have constantly reminded myself of the phrase
"If everyone threw their problems in a pile we would soon grab our own back!"
It helped me on days I felt dreadful thinking that there were plenty far worse than me.
That's so true. We should thank the almighty for what we have. My dad always says... When you wake up each morning thank God for extending my life.

There are millions of people worse of then me so I'm happy and this cancer in my life is just another challenge.

:hello: First some housekeeping. I made a mistake regarding the Baileys on Monday. The Baileys that is now £12 and supposed to be until into January is the 70cl Baileys. The 1L Baileys is in fact £15:eek: and that offer is due to expire after 4th December. Let it expire!:D So, there is still a chance, a slim one I think, for it to go to on good offer before Christmas. I noticed the £12 one was the 70cl today, as I saw Baileys Original Cream Liqueur £12 and then Baileys Irish Cream Liquor £15 and thought "isn't that the same thing?" and then looked at it more and saw it was the position as described above. So, I do sometimes glitch - and unfortunately I can never glitch in anyone's favour:(.

On the Walkers crisps Worcester Sauce, that return N/A:T instead of £1.50, I think M do stock Worcester Sauce but they are OOS. I know that sounds like a contradiction - I'm saying they stock them and they that they don't stock them: but I mean there is evidence of them having stocked them and I have a SEL today but with none of the product left and a "temporarily out of stock" label. (One thing I'm not liking too much at M is that they seem now to be putting these labels over the price labels when items are OOS but then of course they often don't remove them when stock does come back:mad:. I'm having to peer underneath OOS labels to see prices and then sometimes not sure if the price has in fact changed from what I see but maybe they've not changed it in that store since they were OOS. They don't consider price collectors:(:rotfl:.)

Out of stockage doesn't, or shouldn't, matter for the APG. If they have a same situation as me in their stores - though tbh it seems I may have an errant SEL - then they should still take the price. However, I'm not complaining as it would have wiped everything out completely if I'd had a £1.00 vs £1.50 instead of the N/A:rotfl:.

So, it was the 70cl Baileys at £12. That's the same price as quite a usual (and poor IMO) offer on the 1L versions. Supermarkets do seem to do this sometimes, probably relying on people who recall the price of a previous offer - on a bigger version - and then see it again and think it's that version they're getting but instead picking up some smaller pack:(. For example, I've seen Crisp n Dry 1L on extremely poor £2 price (and red label background:D!) in Sains. before now, when it's Crisp n Dry 2L that needs to be that price or below. The Robinsons squashes, when they are on good offer, go to 74p. However, I once saw the very small bottles priced, strangely, at 74p in T - I wonder if wanting people to pick those tiny things up instead and think they were getting the good offer!

I saw one of these type of things in M once. One week, they'd rolled on some alcohol pack to the front of my store and put it onto £10 offer. It was a good offer (until I saw RTC £4.68 in T:rotfl:). It lasted all of a few days or a week though. The following week, what they'd done was, instead of the 20x440ml cans being on that price - they'd now got back up, they'd put some 20x300ml (or 330ml, I forget which, it was certainly lower) packs of the same drink onto £10 (a poor price for it of course!) and they were now in the place at the front where the bigger ones had been the previous week. With big red background £10 pricing all over them. Presumably, relying on some people, who may have seen the £10 the previous week but didn't quite buy it then, returning to the store the following week to pick up the £10 alcohol and thinking they'd getting the good sized cans pack when they are not.

I've no idea if this was intentional or deliberate or not - but it was simply what I saw - the larger can packs had gone back up in price and the space in the store at the front was now filled by smaller packs that happened to be on the same price as the larger ones, in that place the previous week, had been before.

I've another bit of a 'trick' by them maybe, about an item at the front of my store today, to mention in a moment.

Hi, I have a question... How/when do you know that you've reached £100 APG limit? Is it when you see the comparison results or when you receive e-vouchers in your account? I'm talking about C&C here, as I haven't done any instore comparison shop for a while. I'm sure it's been covered before but with search function not working I couldn't find any post about it. TIA
