    Thanks Biker :(

I wish I'd waited a couple more days to get the voucher now.

Guess I'll have to find something else that is much cheaper elsewhere.

Just a thought Fuzzgun - depending on the value of the APG's, what about doing a C&C to use them, with cash spent as well, then refusing on collection goods to the value of the cash.

ie, say you had £20 of APG, so needed to spend £20 more to get the C&C.

Refuse £20 worth when you pick up, so only the £20 of APG is spent. The rest (the cash) will then credit back to your account.

That way you use the APG's on the stuff you can use now, without having to spend cash to bump up the value of the order - if am making sense ?

Different if it is a lot of APG so little cash, but only you know that bit ;)

Bacon Scented Underwear™ is the world’s first underwear that looks and smells like bacon. Yes, this is real.

    wr1k6p.jpg

Marrying the ultimate in comfort and cured meat, Bacon Scented Underwear represents the gold standard of meat-scented luxury undergarments. Each pair is hand crafted in the USA to offer the support of briefs, the freedom of boxers and the smell of breakfast cooking in your pants. You really can have it all.
Featuring state of the art moisture-wicking, scent-emission technology stolen from NASA, we’ve embedded the smell of everyone’s favorite smell into the fabric of your pants. This intoxicating scent will last through multiple wash cycles and wearings - depending on the (ahem) strength of your own scent, your underwear should continue to smell like bacon for up to 6 months or even a year.
Our legal team has advised us to post the following serious warnings:
    • Bacon Scented Underwear is not recommended for people in the following professions: mail carriers, zookeepers, veterinarians, dog catchers and walkers, and circus performers (especially lion tamers).
    • If you have a large dog with razor sharp teeth, please do not fall asleep in J&D's Bacon Scented Underwear.
    • If you are hiking in the woods where bears are known to roam, please do not wear Bacon Scented Underwear without also carrying a firearm.
Bacon Scented Underwear is available exclusively at www.baconunderwear.com for $19.99 per pair and comes in men’s and women’s styles and sizes.

So, what they seem to have done (if I can now trust the current prices displayed - I have one out of three stores now in conflict with that) - they're very cheeky - is that the Bold 1.2L liquids, that they put onto £2.77 last week or the week before - and pulled out to the front of the store - they now, very subtly, changed the price label.

If you weren't paying attention, you probably wouldn't know. The products are still, in one of my stores, out at the front (as if to be on an offer). However, they've changed the £2.77 offer label to £3 label. Nice big red background I noticed, as if to suggest that's an offer! So, actually, the price has gone up. It seems (as I have one store that still showed £2.77 - well, £2.77 and full price £5.50 or whatever as they didn't bother to change their main SELs:mad:. They've also got the Surf Tropical 90 wash powder nearby and their SEL, which said £7 on Monday, now says £12.50:eek: - why change it when the price hasn't even changed?!!:mad: Still on offer according to the other stores - and according to them as they have stock out at the front of the store with the £7 there).

Sometimes, the clue that the price has just gone up, is that the red background label will just have the current price on it, namely £3, but won't have a crossed out ("was") price. So that, last time, you might have seen crossed out £5.50 (or whatever) and £2.77. But, this time, it just says £3. They've increased the price by a few pence. They're still out at the front, in that store - but, obviously, not as good as what they were!

I have my doubts about the absence of the crossed-out price always telling you though. I don't think it always works that way. I seem to think I've seen items like the Pork Shoulder by weight though, going once from £2.50/kg to £3 or more a kilogram and then having a crossed out over £5/kg appear on the label:naughty: - as if to suggest that it had just gone down from £5+/kg to £3+/kg when in fact, two days before, it was at £2.50/kg. That's why you sometimes see "previous price applied between X and Y date" - it may have been lower in the interim or, then again, it could just been referring to a previous price and was same price as now before then.

The absence of crossed-out price (which I refer to as "was" price, even though they don't usually use the word "was" (they usually just have the price there, crossed out)) did work on the Sanex 7 in 1 deo earlier in the year. That went down and onto fairly good offer (although not if we're considering getting free or better via some mbuy glitch:rotfl: and, with this specific deo. being only Tvs M, was no chance of that). This version then rose in price and went to red background offer label with higher price (not as high as the full price had been but certainly nowhere as good as it just had been and it was a price increase on that) - the clue was there that the label had just the price, red background as if it good when IMO it was not, and a lot of blank space as there was no previous price or anything crossed out. The others in the same range of deos, that remained on the lower price, gave the game away to the people that look at this very deeply though - as they had the crossed out prices there and were lower in price:rotfl:.

Thank you everyone for all your good wishes!
Operation done and I am now back home.

A bit painful, but a couple of painkillers and a glass of red wine should sort that out.:D
