lesliejack wrote: »Good evening Elite, I am after a little advice
bought a pair of girls Clarks shoes last month and already they are looking worn out. The leather is peeling away from the strap & elsewhere. They have been worn for school, and the child has not played football in them. I cant take them back except to the outlet store I bought them at, and that is too far away, and thus expensive. I cant send them back because she needs to wear them.
So I have written a letter enclosing a photo of shoes, and a copy of the original receipt, but I am not sure of the best place to send it.
The outlet store?
Some head office person?
bit stuck here, any advice appreciated.
Many thanks. x
Try head office, but to be honest I wouldn't hold out much hope, they will want the shoes back if they are going to refund you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Now this I really did not know.
The BM if you get it for an online shop can you use it in store or only for another online shop?
So what are the mechanics of this please? Do I go via the piggy app on my phone, log in - hopefully I can find my log in details - and then do an online sainsbobs shop - how do you actually get the BM?
I've not done a sainsbobs online shop before so in theory I could get herbs and spices, sainsbobs cat food and gin - ??. And use a first time delivery code possibly
I haven't done an S online shop but assume it is the same as when I did A a while ago. Register on the MSM website (same login then works for MSM and the app, sometimes referred to as MSL). Login, then go to settings and add your S login details. You then "shop" on MSM (website or the app) and when you have finished, checkout from MSM to your chosen supermarket. It then takes you through to Login to S (in this example) and transfers the basket to them for you to checkout.
If you also go to CS and add your Login details for S to that account too and go through their site to S, it should check and should give you cashback from there too.
Cashback offers are sometimes different between MSM website and app (as Elite, shall we continue to refer to MSL as the app to avoid confusion?). For the app, again login, add the items to your basket and then click the 3 dots top right and Redeem cashback where you are then prompted to photo the receipt (so long since they had any cashback offers, assume this is stillc correct)..
My only concern is that as they have suddenly had an influx of Schwartz offers, based on their previous haphazard approach to providing clear information, it wouldn't surprise me if they had joined the CoS Network (as TCB seem to have done) and we find that we then can only claim on one (currently could appeal that as there is nothing that I can see that states this at the moment).
I cannot see any reason why you couldn't use a first time customer offer too.

I don't know how to get into emails. I saw I had received a couple but I have pop ups stopped, where would I look?

Hopeless - drawn a complete blank tonight! They like to be shortchanged though, in this case to the tune of 200g of biscuits - or a full pack of other size biscuits - as they just love those rollback £1 prices on the small 300g packs of biscuits:wall:.
1x McVitie's Digestives Milk Chocolate (300G) £1.00 £1.42
The 500g version, which are £1.50 in A, are £1.00 in M.
I have no idea why people think that £1 for 300g of McVities biscuits is any price worth buying. I acknowledge that they are often placed at eye-level in shops whilst the 500g biscuits, in my stores, are very low down near the floor! In fact, I think that's the entire explanation:(.
The 300g packs were - if I recall - nearly 400g at one stage, then reduced to 350-something than 330-something, now 300g.:( I prefer the 500g version myself at the same price. Obviously they just want to pay the same and get far less. Although, even the 500g pack still work out more expensive than buying SP Chocolate Digestives which, if truth be known, are probably virtually identical.0 -
Did we know you can get cashback from eBay purchases if you go through TCB? 1.05% (Premiium) up to £50 cashback per transaction.
It also had the competition entry when I just visited.

Where's the menu bar?
It doesn't really bother me as I don't have much time for private messaging, just don't get offended if I never reply to anything, it's because I never saw it in the first place.0 -

I mentioned it, in passing, probably about a week ago (weeks go by...:rotfl::)). I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong - I think I read somewhere that if it was from an online shop, you could only use it online.0 -

If you do an online shop the cashback should track with CS. When your shopping arrives you receive it together with an instore till receipt which you could snap for COS if you were so inclined
