Litre spirits were £15 in !!!!!! today

700ml at 2 for £20 (M) works out at about £14.33/L. It's getting close to last chance on that offer, as due to end in M 22nd November. Although at least one of these - according to hotdeals a few years ago - has been straight £9.96 in T ages ago. But don't buy Malibu 700ml:rotfl: - I know it's on the M offer, but there must be some reason why I have omitted it from the ones on my list - namely 2 for £20 is too expensive for it. And the same with some Bailey's - some Bailey's is on that offer, but I'm not going to be bothering with it at equivalent to £14.33/L price (or vs such a price) when 1L bottles of Bailey's have gone down to £10 before! And I regularly reject them at £12 offer prices, so I'm not going to be bothering with anything even higher than that!

    Good evening paw sniffers:D

Great coupons from Sains on Mycoupons.

Once again I am amazed at how well they have profiled my shopping habits including the glitchy items I have recently bought from A:eek:

    Surely not:eek:

Right I'm off to do some internet Christmas shopping:T:T

    Has anyone seen VT?

Is she back from her jollies yet?

Someone did say that - I've been saying it, but I might be wrong. (If it turns out I'm wrong, I now wish I'd left my Tvs M list the way it was rather than altering it into a new format. However, I think you can pop the italicised items into your basket on msm, as if shopping at T, and see msm's running total if you need to find the total T price, before the TBG, should it be that you can take cond spends off that and then the discount is taken off, rather than it being my understanding that the bill is automatically deducted and then you are to pay and...oops, you have not reached cond spend amount:(.)

    I agree about CS there:rotfl:.

didn't work for me last night Savvy. I spent £33, BG took me down to £23 and it wouldn't take my £6 off £30. Message flashed up on screen the minimum amount hadn't been spent, or words to that effect.

I notice the Deals Predictor is back. How could I not?:rotfl:- the link to the email that then contains a link to it is in the right-hand pane. They're predicting £9 Bailey's for M again - I know a lot of people were disappointed when that did not happen last year. However, they are predicting it despite the fact that it's only happened once out of the four years they are showing. So I'll stick my neck out and say that I don't think they will offer it again and I've no idea why, contrary to all the evidence and despite saying they've analysed all the info. to predict deals, they are predicting this one. I wouldn't. We may be surprised and find, contrary to what I think, the offer does come on - so keep on looking out for it just in case!

Booo. So, it's almost totally useless - it's like getting an mbuy discount on an item that thwarts you reaching the cond spend had they had the item at straight full pricing (and then cheaper elsewhere PP in the past, having the cond spend taken off and after you'd paid). Which is why a "discount" at the till, before you pay, from our POV is such a bad idea.

Can't use cond spends as not spending enough on cheaper competitor's pricing:(. I gather you get CC points based on what the T prices would have been - for all the tuppence it's worth. Therefore, it's back to my original approach to this: unless you have no other competitor stores anywhere reasonably possible to get to yourself, and if you do not have T staff discount or some other reason why you would be getting anything more than a price match at best, then simply shop at the competitor for the cheaper items:p. Stick-out tongue to T! And not need to buy extra items or pay T extra costs for own brand items, which you would not be incurring at the competitor, in order to reach an unnecessary 10 items that the competitor does not require you to buy and pay for.

It acts like an mbuy discount - is shown as such on the receipts. In fact, it's even worse, as mbuy discounts would not usually be as great as the difference we would be aiming at compared to a competitor. So, as I see it, it thwarts you even more. Bad enough in the past when the beggars have put their prices down and made it harder to reach a cond spend - then having to buy a further item to reach that and therefore increasing the competitor bill! So much less efficient, for me, compared to way high nice full prices - any offer price at T on a comparable item was a bad idea even before this! Now, you may as well just buy at S/M/A as you get no benefit of even being able in effect to get a T cond spend deduction off the competitor's bill. Makes it almost pointless, except the few limited situations namely staff discount card, a T offer that doesn't get accounted for (e.g. 25% off wines as a category-wide offer) and gives you a better price than the competitor or every other store miles away from you.

Even if you have no A, but have a T and have an S (as long as it's not one of the excluded stores that don't have the BM technology), you'd be better buying at S - and using its cond spends if you hopefully have them - if you wanted the prices of A, rather than matching T to A. And then buying T's cheaper items at T and S's cheaper separately at S (maybe to 'kill' a BM voucher once it became small enough).
