A real work at home job

Hi, I just applied too. I've done helpdesk and call centre work in the past, so this sounds right up my street. Plus being a single mum and all, this would be a great way for me to get off benefits! Theres a nursery at the end of my street (literally!) so I could easily have him looked after while I'm working (if its during the day) and yet still be within yelling distance if a problem arose while I was working.
I so hope I get a call. This job sounds perfect for me! Thank you so much to whoever posted about it!0 -

Have you been onto the website........... its shows vacancies?
Yes I have visited the website that is where I originally applied from, it may show vacancies on there but after you have applied and done the computer test someone gives you a telephone interview and then ask about when your available to work and how many hours you can work etc.
I have been through all this and then NO hours available yet0 -
Hi all,
Have been reading through thread for days now! i found the job a few months back on monster but was put off by the "homeworking.com" people. it was only when catwomen posted there I found you guys!
Well done to all those who have sucessfully completed training & taking live calls.
I am still in two minds wether to apply or not. Nothing to do with the job as such just some personal circumstances to work around.
Can I ask, are you part of a team? Do you have contact with them or are you very much left alone with your team leader or "super user"? Is the training only available 6-10? My 7 month old goes to bed every night at 7 without fail but requires me to feed him still. (I am the feeding machine!) That could be a bit tricky if anyone knows what I mean !!
Hope to hear from anyone - some feedback would be great especially from those who are live.0 -
Hi all,
first post on this forum, and although I'm a new face, I have been following this thread for a fair few weeks (unregistered)
I have also been busy getting through all the computer checks and test's, so far it's all gone good:D
Tomorrow at 2.30pm I have my final interview, but would like it if you could answer my few questions please.
I have 2 past employment refs but being in the last job for many years they are both from the same company, will this be o.k?
My 2 personal, did I hear correct that they have to be qualified pros? (school teacher) or something like that, if so I could have a problem. Basically the phone call from them was out of the blue this evening giving me less than 24hours to sort things like that out.
That's about all I need to know for now.
Good luck to everyone who are going through the system at the moment.0 -
Your personal references must come from someone within a professional role I think, not family obviously. I think they prefer more refs to fewer but if you have been in the same job years then they may have to accept fewer.
You are trained and based in groups and you stay in the group most of the time, there is a chat room (similar to messenger) that you get put into at the start of the shift and you can "chat" with your other team members while not on calls. If you cannot guarantee a quiet, professional work area then you may get caught out, it is in the contract you sign that there will be no background noise or distractions, failure to adhere to this could shorten your working relationship with Teletech.0 -

So, do you have to have a phone line for this type of work, you can't take calls through the PC? Also, do you have to be in the UK? I'm looking for work I can do from home, but as I live in a shared house, I can't very well monopolise the phone line ...0

Shame, no good for me then0 -
O.k Thankyou all so very much for your help:cool:
I had a morning of ringing up a few people I have not spoken to in a fair few years, but I think I'm set with 4 fairly good refs.
This might be me, but on the phone call from them yesterday, the lady that was speaking to me, had a VERY strong american accent, once I have to say very sorry I didn't get what she said:embarasse. Did anyone else find this. Other hobbies I have I do have to speak to people from the US but this particular girl, was really fast and extra american. I just hope it will be a bit different on this afternoons final interview. Nothing at all against american people though, I'm probably the one at fault.0
