A real work at home job

Hi Paul
It's a netgear wireless adsl router. When you talk about ethernet do I need an additional cable somewhere?
thanksHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I had the same problem and exactly the same message. My hubby works for an IT company and took it to his place of work and did it and it worked straight away. Otherwise the router was going to cost about £30. Its all very strange though because since then I have done everything else from home without changing any of my set up.0

He logged into my email from work and selected the link and and ran it from there . I think a lot of people have the same problem. Not sure why. He found it really frustrating till the light bulb came on! I am about to give him a call at work and will try and get a more technical explanation for you.0

Paul is right you must connect to the router via a Ethernet cable,
forget the usb modem thats no use for the test or when working
because they are not supported in workboth
so follow these steps
1. buy Ethernet cat5 cable or you may have one in the netgear box
2. connect cable to rear of netgear router in a LAN socket
3. connect other end of cable to you PC LAN socket
4. disable any wireless and reboot for good measure
5. check you have connectivity by browsing web
6. try test again
7. come and say thanks
On a side note, if your going to buy a cable make sure
it's long enough to go from your wifes pc (If this will be used for work)
to your netgear router0 -
Was supposed to have an interview with them today at 1.00? Has anyone else experienced this, I seem to remember reading something way back. I don't think I'm supposed to have this job as none of my stages have been straightforward!!0

I was meant to have one at 2pm today and have still not heard anything from them. The real problem is I have to go and pick my kids up at 3pm and knowing my look they will call then and I will miss my chance. I am going on the site now to do the Live Help to make them aware of this and see if they can change the time0

Yeah they called me the day after they should of,
that was a few weeks ago now and most people seem
to have been called ontime since then0 -
