It sounds a complete shambles, sounds like no one will be ready to start training ontime, and after some of the horror stories I have read, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole! I am happy to keep looking for homeworking job I will actually enjoy, if such a thing actually exsists. Guess I will keep up the typing training I am doing right now and pursue a transcribing job.

Homeworking jobs are as rare as hens teeth. I am prepared to put up with a few hiccups if it means I can stay home with my son. No childcare to pay, no travel. Sure, call centre work is not my dream job, but this is the ONLY genuine homeworking job I have ever come across. Believe me I have been searching for years.
I am so very greatful to the OP as are lots of others. Teletech have been nothing but polite and professional with me and I am very happy to be starting work with them on Monday.0 -
That's exacally what I was thinking Oliver,
The reason I asked for Sat off was that we have a caravan and I couldn't commit myself to every sat but the season has nearly finished now and I have thought about it and thought probably I was a little hasty in my decission.
As by the time the training is finished the season will be over then I am free on Saturday's
That is why I asked if anyone had any contacts for them I was going to get in touch and explain that by the time I started training I would be free anytime.
Do you have a contact number??
I did not want to work Sat, but as homeworking jobs are very rare I just felt I had to take what I could. In time hopefully better shifts will become available.0 -

Do you think I will be able to phone the access number from my mobile or does it have to be your landline? I am going to have to use the desktop until this adapter comes for my laptop, but the phone line doesnt stretch far enough. Oh well, I will just have to move the desktop if it has to be the landline!
If I can use my mobile, that'll annoy t mobile :rotfl: I dont usually use many of my mins.

So I take it we need to boot the pc up into workbooth, then phone the number just before 6pm? Is there any password that we should be using to get into workbooth? Sorry for all the questions, I am really starting to panic now! I just hope none of my customers are going to be as irate as me :rotfl:I had the phone put down on me by someone at the 3 call centre yesterday

I appreciate that homeworking jobs are very rare, but I am not prepared to take on a job I know I will be unhappy with as I am lucky enough to already be at home with my children, and before everyone gets snooty and say "well aren't you the lucky one", we really can't afford for me not to be at work, but that was the choice we made when we realised how poorly our 2nd son was 2 years ago. I have been taught a very valuable lesson in having my youngest son, life is too short. I may be pretty poor, but I am happy, if a little stressed at times
It was not my intention to come across as ungrateful to the OP, I had come across this job on Monster just hours before seeing this post and passed it onto various people I knew were looking for homeworking jobs. I am just saying that this job really isn't for me. I have been unfortunately to work call centre jobs before and hated it, I can't see this being any different. However, I may return from my hols and see that you are all having a brilliant time, I may reconsider, but for now I will keep looking for the ever elusive homeworking job and if I find any, I will certainly come back and share.
I really do wish all you new starters the very best and hope it works out for all of you.0 -

First of all, thanks Oliver for this thread.
I applied and had my 2nd interview last night, they offered me the position and said i start Monday, but nothing has been mentioned about the hire pack and I have not received the Workbooth CD yet. I have been sent the contract by email but no other instructions. I was also only asked for 2 references which threw me because I had 4 ready.
I am worried I may not be able to start Monday and don't want to miss out on this opportunity but also I am working during the day and have to give 4 weeks notice, its gonna be a lot of hours for me to do to start with with not much time for anything else during the week.0
