I'm beginning to get worried as we start next Friday. Gee its a week. Getting scared too!

But i've not recoeved any paperwork in the post or my workbooth disk. I've recieved nothing!!

    Has everyone else had theirs??

Where abouts is everyone with this? All i've had is the reference request by email and the request for the "CRB" check from Scotland.

Emailed them on Tuesday to post me out a form and they haven't yet either.

I won't be able to start til all this is done. Grrrrrrrrr. She said I can't go til training until I have passed workbooth disk.

Ive decided to give up with the whole thing, after being offered a position in Jan and to be advised that the training was full, id have to wait for the next intake ! Ive gone through the whole process again assesments, conference call and also telephone interview and still waiting for a response. Ive just received another phone call from guy asking me to complete the assesments again !!!! I explained ive already done all this and he said i needed to do them again and attend another group call. Ive found the whole experience really unprofessional and nobody seems to know what they are doing !
Im more than capable of doing the role after working for ntl/Virgin for 6 years im well aware of the products. Im disappointed more than anything.
If they are doing a big recruitment drive in the UK you'd think they would have a team in the UK dealing with this who were aware of UK recruitment regulations and requirments. They have 3 call centres in the UK so you would imagine they could deal with this sort of thing.
I dont find the live help useful as they refer you back to an american phone number. Really sorry to appear so negative about this as i thought it was a great opportunity.
Oh well at least i got the thread to page 100

Like you, I got my workbooth cd at the start (in fact I got 2). If you have had confirmation that you have been accepted, then you should receive your contract in the next few days.
A CRB is a criminal record check. As far as I am aware, it is just a basic check, so if you have any criminal activities outstanding, then they will be flagged up.
You have to pay for the CRB, but you will be reimbursed. You also have 5 weeks to return the form to Teletech.

I call it CRB but its not through the CRB it's the Scotlands version of the CRB!! They just do a basic criminal record check. A little over board but at the same they have never met us f2f so it's understandable. You can complete it online on the website if you haven't moved house in the past year. Unfortunately I have so I had to email them to get them to send me a paper copy which hasn't yet appeared.

Yes, I'm wondering about my references also! My 2 personal ones are actually friends of the family who are in professional jobs.

How the hell can a banker who has never met you, or a doctor who may see you once a year if he is lucky, be called personal I shall never know!!!!!
So i'm expecting them to be rejected.

Rebekah: I am like you and cannot fill in my CRB on line due to not living at my address for 12 months. How did you contact the CRB. I thought I would have to print out a form (and sods law, my printer is not working). How did you do it? Thanx. Pat

I came home last night to a phone message from Lisa who interviewed me last Thursday asking me to email her regarding the staus of my application, I did this, and she has read my email, but not got back to me. I might give up myself, as on Tuesday, I applied for a customer service advisor position in a new John Lewis store that is opening here in May, and today I received a telephone call to go for an assessment for the job next Tuesday. If I get offered the job, I will take it as the new store is getting built 2 roads away from where I work, so I wouldn't have far to go. This job is working in the office weekend or evenings.

I emailed the recruiter again and this is what I got back:

I thought that our interview did go well and I thought you would be a good fit with TeleTech@Home. So from here, I will begin looking for a position for you that matches your skill set and your availability of 5pm or later. Once I find something that matches both of those, I will give you a call to go over the details of that position and make sure that it is a fit at that time. Until then, I will be in touch weekly via email to let you know that I am still looking for a position for you and for you to know that you can reach out to me with any questions or concerns

So it's good news, but don't know how long I will have to wait. In the meantime, If I get offered the job at John Lewis I will take that as it is more money:p

Good luck with the John Lewis job ! such a shame as it appears several people have been banking on this role. Its their loss !!!
