Can someone explain MeetingPlace to me please :o Do we have to call in before we can actually access the web page? I tried signing in before, before I had dialled the number. I passed the browser test thingy, yet when I tried to actually get in the room, the page just constantly displayed 'connecting' or something along those lines. I already disabled pop ups and windows firewall. Adobe is up to date too. I'm left baffled  I sent an email to Tt to explain, no reply back yet.
    Hi Sophie
I was at the meeting tonight.
I was a bit confused by instructions but found them easier to follow when printed off!
The telephone connection was the LAST bit I did after I had entered the meeting.
    Not sure if that helps!
    Good Luck

i got the call, at last!

just did tests, pc passed fine, did skills test - think i mucked up renaming file thing but appart from that all ok

thank you so much Oliver - you should be on commision with all the help you have given everyone
I thought I'd blown it with the file-renaming too but still passed
If Oliver was on commission from all the people who have heard about this from him he'd be retired by now ;)

how long after first assessment do i hear from them - do they email to say completed/passed?
  • Thanks everyone. I've just had another look at the Cisco browser test thingy and it seems my pc fails the last bit (think last time I maybe closed the browser too early so didn't realise there was more lol). I get the three green ticks - operating system, browser, pop ups. Then, underneath, it says:

    Test failed

Unable to connect to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Meeting server

ETA: Just tried again, using Firefox, and it works - woohooo - guess it was just IE it didn't like then lol

I am so frustrated! After many hitches-long story- I eventually had a meetingplace booked for yesterday afternoon, but the didn't receive the e-mail link. I sent an e-mail but didn't get any sort of apology or explanation, just a chance to book another slot. Due to my work pattern this means I have to wait another week. Not had a telephone interview yet, I suppose that will be after the online meeting? Feeling very frustrated as I want to hand in my notice at work but daren't risk it.
  • i have been invited to online meeting - booked the 5th - is this the informal one - will i have to do/say much?!

    Hi DS
get yourself into the meeting room first then dial the number given. Everyone is asked to put their phones on mute / secrecy so that you can listen but not be heard during the presentation which is done on screen. They will then open up Q&A when you will be asked to take your phone off mute.
They ask you to enter 10 mins before the start - do that as you don't want to be panicking!
    Good Luck
  • I dnt have a mute button on my phone so will just have to make sure im totally silent lmao
