its a pity they don't do a rota say over 4 weeks, where everyone would get a least one weekend off

I filled in the application form last week, got an email saying thanks for applying but that's all. Looks like they aren't interested in me :(

    Yes couldn't agree more
I don't really want to commit myself to working all weekend evenings every weekend, I wouldn't mind now and again as overtime or summat but not as contract hours.
My recruiter did say that after about 2 weeks of working for them hours could change anyway so we will have to wait and see from the people who are already working for them.

Can't understand why they still leave job vacancies on their site for people to apply when obviously no jobs.
  • thanks belfast child, i didn't want to know anything about the customers i was just wondering how people were getting on with the job, as i haven't seen anyone say it was good or bad.;)
when i had my phone screening they said i had to work on day over the weekend, they didn't say i had to do all weekend.

    Hi
I applied for this too and I got offered a job - just waiting for the next lot of training sessions

I was only asked for 2 references - one being my current day job and according to them no one called .....

But it didnt seem to matter as she still offered me a place.

Can I ask a few questions though ....

What happens if your ill or go away? Do you get sick pay/ holiday pay? Do you book it off or do you just not clock in to your shift?
Also WHO exactly are we working for? I know its an 'Internet service provider' but havnt actually been told who!

    Thanks

I applied about 2 weeks ago. First, got the email acknowledging my application. I then chased them up after 10 days to be told that they had sent an email containing the links for the online assessment. They resent it and I did the tests etc. Within 24 hours I received a phonecall asking questions and saying that I would be contacted the same time the following day for a final interview and to have 4 referees ready and that if I missed this call, this was the end of the recruitment and it would go no further. They telephoned as they had stated but after I had put the phone down I realised that they had not asked for my referees. I thought, "oh Well i've obviously blown it". Within 6 hours of the phonecall (the final interview) I was emailed a form to complete with 4 referees saying "we need this to get you hired!"

    That was Friday.

Thanks for that Helen and Welnik, so there is hope yet. I'll give it a couple more days and then email them.

  • oh my final interview is on Tues 6pm the wanted to do it mon between 1pm & 2pm but as i work during the day i said that wasn't possible, the man said that 4.30 was the latest time they could do, but when i explained i wouldn't be home from work at that time he then agreed that they would ring at 6pm on Tues, they didn't say anything about if i missed the call it would go no further, oh i hope the traffic not bad on my way home Tues as i will only just make it home for 6pm ha:rotfl:
