Thanks but I've tried this and not conclusive i think it could be the grand plaza apartment but that coming up as 4+ stars and lastminute's is 4 star if anyone knows what these apartments are i'd appreciate it;)

Thanks to all who've contributed - we've had some fabulous stays in London, including the Royal Horseguards (no availability showing for our dates this time, sadly). I haven't trawled the whole thread, so I don't know if this one's come up lately - the most recent I could see was early in 2012, so, an updated reveal:

I've just got a great rate for one night - almost £100 cheaper than anywhere else I could find online, so we'll see how well it turns out!:)
