A big thanks from me to all who have contributed to this thread. I've just booked Royal Horseguards (Magnificent discounts at luxurious riverside hotel) for £130 - a bit of a *gasp* moment, but it's for a night away with my mum, and the treat won't hurt. Any half decent place was going to be around £100 anyway, and this looks like a fabulous deal - I certainly wouldn't have entertained it at the £200-240 a night most other websites are listing it at. I love each and every one of you!

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm thinking I might book the Horseguards for the Saturday night at £130 for me and the OH and just stay in an Easyhotel or a hostel on the Friday as I'm on my own that night and ain't too bothered as long as the room is clean.

Suggest a look at The Melia White House Hotel. Very good for the tube. See earlier post dated 2 March 2012.

Any ideas please? Its a top secret hotel hopefully near Legoland ....

But DO check their own website before booking through LastMinute, you might find it is cheaper to go direct;)
