It was £269 for 2 nights and then I used WEMISSYOU20 code which brought it down to £215. This code is valid until 30th September.

I can confirm it is Crowne Plaza London Kensington which I'm very happy with as we stayed there before in May this year after getting it for £220/2 nights as a Top Secret Hotel (thanks to this thread!) The description on Lastminute was different for this hotel in May, so after a bit of research I hoped I had picked the right one! Fingers were tightly crossed when I booked but it worked out well.

It's right across the road from Gloucester Road tube, so is on the Circle, District and Picadilly lines - great transport links.

For anyone who might be thinking of booking this hotel - It was very clean and comfortable. Our room in May didn't have a great view but that wasn't important to us. The location, comfort and cleanliness was what mattered most. I obviously thought it was good value, seeing as I've just booked again!

I am new to this forum but am so glad I found it - thank you to everyone who posts.

Taking my OH to London on 14th Oct for his 40th - meeting gang of friends near Charing Cross for meal/bar/club - could anyone recommend some nice hotels for that night thats not too far away. Max budget £150ish I think, as others will want to stay in same hotel and won't want to splash out too much.
