Cheap Flights to Ibiza - Have I missed the cheapest?

I'm going Ibiza in May 2016. I couldn't afford the flights a couple months back, but now they've gone up in price.
Do you think the flights will decrease in price between now and then? Will there be a British Airways sale soon? I'm not up to date when it comes to when sales usually are or when flights go up and down in price.
For the flights I want prices are about £280 economy - which is the same cost my business class flights this year! (bought in September last year)

Do you need to fly with BA, are other airlines any cheaper? What dates are you looking at?
BA have a post Christmas sale, but it is more focused on long haul destinations.0 -
These days I don't tend to buy air fares far in advance (not organised enough) but back when I used to I found that prices would fluctuate up and down until about 3 months before the flight. Within that 3 month window they would just tend to keep going up the closer I got to the travel date.
If you're travelling to Ibiza during school and University holidays then flights will probably be expensive regardless.0 -
It's mid May - departing Thursday returning Sunday. It's right before the main party season starts.
I'm happy with most airlines, but I'd rather fly from Heathrow, Luton or London City, and not many airlines fly from Heathrow or London City except BA. I will go with any airline except Ryanair!
What other sites apart from Skyscanner are good for looking at flights, for some reason on that search it doesn't show any budget airlines like Easyjet/Monarch yet there are flights that day to Ibiza.0 -
If you can return to a different London airport that you fly from then price separately using skyscanner and then go direct to the airlines' websites not those skyscanner travel agents.
Iberia have some good one stop fares from Lhr.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Here's a link to previous BA Sale dates.

Always worth pricing up fares combined with car hire. Every now and then you get an absolute steal with BA. Alternatively, do you have any Avios you could burn?0 -

£165 but it's leaving one London airport and coming back to another. Or £167 Luton to luton. I guessed you meant 19th to 22nd but play with the dates and you should get it cheaper than the ba price tbh:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Given that the site above leads you to Opodo, Gotogate or Cheapoair for booking, it is worth noting that none of these have a particularly good reputations and the prices are not likely live. I would suggest these get used as a guide to airlines and then booking direct with the airline(s)0

Thanks. I don't mind returning to different airports. I think I found a couple of flights that work with the dates/times I want. It's £333 for 2 of us - travelling there with Monarch, coming back with BA. Providing it's not gone up in the past couple days!
Question - can you use Avios points to pay for flights using Expedia or do you have to book directly with the airline?0 -

You need to book via Avios/ BAEC to use Avios. Have you checked award availability?
Have you flown with Monarch before? If you're not a fan of Ryanair I'm surprised you'd fly with them.0 -
I flew with Monarch when I was a kid. I know they're not the best airline, but I don't have much choice with my outbound flights - I don't want to leave at London 6am or arrive in Ibiza at 11pm. The only other options are double the price of the Monarch flight for the times I want!
I had a look at using my avios points, but it's only 45 euros off, and it's actually cheaper to book it through Expedia for some reason, so it's only £20 off - might save those avios for another time when I'm not so restricted with my dates!0
