And a big hug to you too HarryMonkee. You were lucky to escape unscathed, so make sure your brake is on tonight! x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Good Morning All x
Didnt get chance to pop in yesterday so hope all are ok x
Day was meant to be relaxing but that didnt work out. Docs in the morning which was good as my results were back and all blood results were fine. Ecg was fine as well so aagin they are putting it down to the Vegus nerve. Blood pressure was slightly lower so i have avoided the pills for that this time. Doc gave me some pills for my dizzy spells but has told me to avoid any stimulants with them (me without my morning coffee is not pretty lol)
Got home to find out we have an house inspection today at 2 so spent the rest of the day cleaning and making sure there is no dust or marks in sight (didnt realise my DGD had drawn on the bottom of the wall in the hallway. got it off though)
Wrapped DGD presents yesterday so just the cake left to bake today, I will ice it tomorrow for her.
WM on and TD going well as DD2 cleaned her room last night and filled the washing basket.
Just got to do a quick hoover downstairs and then im ready for the inspection.
Dinner will be stewed steak and veg.
Oh and to top it all i have come down with the dreaded lurgy.
Anyhoo enough babble from me.
Hugs to all in need xxBright Blessings xx0 -

To remember that means having 1 less glass of wine. I'll let you know how I get on with that. xWhen people ask stupid questions, I feel obliged to give sarcastic answers.0 -
Morning all, glad you are ok Harry, and Hester that sounds positive.
Lots of rain and wind here, it must have moved south.
Day off today and Monday and effectively this means working at home, which is fine, no traipsing to the office in the rain.
Have just remembered that someone has asked me to go to her leaving work drinks in town at the end of the day, retirement partying with work people, will decide later as there will be others there. I had forgotten and now family expecting to be fed (OH cooks on my work days)I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
It's dry and bright but very windy here. Hubby has booked a few days off from work so he's taken Max out before the rain starts. I'm waiting for Tesco to deliver and DD12 is tucked up in bed after a nasty few days of being sick.
I have been trying to cope a bit better with my friend and not take things to heart as much, easier said than done but I feel a bit better now. Hubby has been very helpful and especially as he's been home it seems to rein her in a bit as she's a bit scared of him. I honestly don't know why as he is lovely.
I'm planning on making spag bol for tea as we haven't had that for a while. I would like to do some baking as well as the tins are empty. I'll see what the girls would like and if I can persuade DD15 to make a victoria sponge as hers are much lighter than mine.
Glad to hear that things seem to be settling down for you Hester and Mrs TA. You have been in my thoughts a lot.
Well, I will love you and leave you for now, Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to. Take care xx0 -
Morning all,
Harry, hope you dont mind me saying but you gave me a right giggle first thing when i read about your mishap. To think of you sprawling on your face. Those wheelchairs are lethal without the brakes on. I remember taking Mother from her room to the dining room and doing a 360 degree swivel as i hadnt put one of the brakes on firmly enough. I was confused, Mother was confused and i'm sure the carers thought i was drunk. I just passed it off by saying "and now you know why i failed my driving test".
At 4am i was counting my blessings. So many uncertainties in my life but maybe just then, i had the faith to believe and accept that what will be will be. Call it a vision, step of faith i dont know but it was appreciated.
Bits and pieces to do in the house today before the men come home tonight, starting with collecting hubbys prescription from the chemist.
Onwards and forwards,

Glad you got a laugh at it.
I find when life bombards us with challenges of whatever kind, reflecting on the good things we have can be a tremendous help. Thoughts and hugs to you. When people ask stupid questions, I feel obliged to give sarcastic answers.0 -
Morning, (((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Another bad night, OH's fault this time, he was reading until well after 1am. I had to wake him at 9.30 otherwise he would have slept the morning away and then not been able to sleep again tonight.
Friday clean to do, did a very through one last week, so just a surface clean, clean out the fire and re set it for tonight, and wash down the fire surround, dust and run the Dyson over, should do for this week.
We have blustery wind, it had been raining but just now we have blue sky, the temperature sure had dropped though, wind chill does not help either.
Right offsky to get on, may be back later.0 -
Harry well done for laughing at life which can be grim at times. My late OH always found the funny side of life no matter what.We were at a good friends funeral and his widow swept in dressed from head to toe in black weeping and wailing and praising the lord (she had found religion, which was strange as she hadn't bothered to find her husband all the time he was in a hospice, but the impending insurance made him look a lot more palatable ) It was a very 'Happy, Clappy' service and nothing that our friend would have wanted at all as he was a great guy and very down to earth. Standing at the back watching this spectacle going on with his sons my husband said "Any minute now he will open the lid ,sit up and say 'For goodness sake sit down you daft bat you look ridiculous'
Half the mourners fell about laughing, as its exactly what he would have said bless him. later that day at the wake we asked his eldest son where his Mum was and he replied "Where do you think ,in the front room with the insurance man working out her loot" even his children knew what she was like .
A much missed and loved man by all except his slightly eccentric wife, who immediately blew the insurance cash on a world cruise in search of another mug.
Well done sir for keeping a sense of the ridiculous in the face of what could be a depressing time, and welcome to our happy band of folk:):)
This afternoon I am off to History club and we are discussing 'Men of Note' should be interesting.
Tomorrow is my day out to my oldest friends wedding Its an all-day do, so hopefully my trotters will hold up OK. I have got at least very comfy shoes to wear.I will probably get my second shop of the month on Sunday. Dug out a couple of fish cakes last night for dinner from the freezer and really enjoyed them I had forgotten how nice they were ,they must have been in there at least 9 months:):) but still tasted good
Hope you all have a good weekend and stay safe if the storm is nearby.Blue skies and sun at the moment in north Kent.
Cheers chums
