Thank god we dont have a left-wing, tree hugging government and one that knows what is really going on in this country.
They should know what's going on, they have greatly added to the problems in the last 10 years.0 -

added to the problems of the shirkers, but not the strivers!0 -
So plays to cut tax credits for workers, is not adding to the problems of strivers, not all benefit claimants are scorungers0

He is IDS, or at least one of his supporters.:p
If he doesn't work at JC+, I think he wants too.
Keep going mate, you've got the right attitude. You should be working for the man in NO time.;)
Don't expect to get paid much though. The Government is broke. That's the real reason for all these cut backs.:(
The Government is picking on the poorest and the weakest (as always). This has happened throughout history time and again.
But Wait!:j
There are some people who are prepared to stand up for their rights, and the rights of others. I think that brings us full circle. That was the point of this thread originally, which you would have known if you had taken the time to read the whole of this thread. Do you get my point?:p0 -
As it's probably the end of this thread now, I would like to thank all posters who have given me/us valuable info and feedback.
I thank especially Flyonthewall. Your posts have been the most informative.
Cheers all, and good luck with your job hunting, and don't let the B*stards grind you down.:beer:0 -

Yes, you are right. But the problem is that the workers are the needy in a lot of cases. People who are on benefits are often slightly better off than minimum wage workers, and it will get worse now there are new tax credit changes on the way. But that is not the fault of the unemployed. That is the fault of government policies. People are not stupid. They will not spend 40+ hours away from their families, and end up worse off financially. Lets give them some credit for being sensible. It's all about surviving.
The government talks a lot about dole scroungers, but what about the MP scroungers. They have been grabbing it where ever they can find it for years, but who keeps complaining about that?
We have always needed a fairer society, but when has it ever happened in history?
People have short memories.

I work for minimum wage & I struggle financially but I would struggle as much on JSA so working is the lesser of two evils, plus working make me feel better about myself0

So you are better off really, because you have the added value of self worth & pride because you work. But that is not always the case for some. The system is simply not layered fairly.0
