Yep. That's the one.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

It shouldn't. As I already have 2 current accounts, it won't allow me to apply for another, but if I apply for a saver, all my details are pre-filled. I ams ure that was the case when I applied for my send current one, too.

Thanks again, all.
OK yes it did allow an internal application. I was put off by the fact that the preamble was similar to the first application.
The reason for my caution was because earlier in the evening, I was declined a second account with Bank of Scotland (only offered a cash account) despite successfully securing one a few days ago. What do you think might be the reason, and should I wait before applying a third time? The Tesco second account application was successful BTW.Don't they all? Some banks limit you to one current account of a certain type, e.g. Halifax Reward, or TSB Classic Plus, but you can have several of their bog standard accounts if you want.0 -
I got my second Barclays account in branch no problem. The smile one I got on line again very straight forward.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

I'm now helping my mother add a new account for DD purposes but the Account Overview page no longer shows 'Apply for a new product'. Also, do either of the appropriate accounts give you an account straight away?0

Really unsure what you're asking:o
Can you be be a bit more specific?
What new account are you trying to add for DD purposes?
Which 'appropriate accounts' are you referring to?0 -

Just open their website home page in a parallel window/tab with the same browser when being logged in and go to Save > Internet Saver > Apply
http://www.tescobank.com/savings/flexible/internet-saver/apply.html
You will get to a form with pre-filled details eventually.0 -

Pretty sure you needed active current account to open a saving account, I had my current application pending but it would reject opening the saving account due to a "error". Worked fine after the current account was opened.0
