Still wondering whether to buy the phone or whether some genuine callers might be put off from continuing with the call.Stompa0

Thanks stompa, it sounds easier than I thought. I suppose I'm over-thinking it a bit, probably reading that the system says that BT is monitoring the call. Thought it might be a little offputting.
That seems to be the real reason I haven't purchased yet, we do get one or two nuisance calls most days, not inundated with them but enough to try and do something about it.0 -

Perhaps someone who has the phones can answer but is it possible to personalise the screening message?
On the actual Truecall unit you can change both the screening message and the Voicemail message so you can have it say something else about screening if you wish.0 -
http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/home-phones/telephones-with-answering-machine/kx-tg8561eb.htmlSimply add all your contacts in to the phone, and subscribe to caller ID. Set the phone to Night Mode from 00:01 to 23:59 hours (ie all day) and then the phone will only ring if someone in your address book calls. Everyone else (ie they have hidden their phone number of a number not recognised) will go to voice mail and you dont get the phone ringing you

I have one of the little white units off ebay, it works a treat. The phone rarely rings now.
I got one call from a UK number, it was a sales call so i blocked it. I googled it and found some foreign call centre had bought a whole bundle of area codes so i blocked the entire area code. No calls since then, that was 3 months ago i think?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
