Quite likely as tradesmen don't repair PCB's, even if only one component has burnt out, they simply replace the board.

Enter "Vokera 10023537 PCB" into Google and then click on "Shopping" and remember to add callout/labour charge.

As you will see there is a big variation in price and the refurbished one for £30 would be my choice.

The PCB I was looking at in the boiler says "10030505". Does the boiler have 2 PCB's?
  • British Gas do a one off repair for around £99 I think. That includes parts & labour. Not bad for a diagnosis and a repair.

Mind though if it turns out to be nothing more than a blown fuse then you still pay £99

Parts and labour, blimey. Are you sure that's not as part of a care package.
When our last boiler packed up for the umpteenth time the diagnosis was a new PCB which was around £150 alone.
That's when we said goodbye to the boiler

It's working! Turns out it was a blown fuse (phew!) I got him to wire up the new thermostat and all is working.
