5.1 speakers

Yes, it's working perfectly with a little MP3 player connected. Front speakers only as you said.

So that will be ok for listening to MP3 player.

Now.... Supposing I do want all 5 speakers to work from a laptop and a wi Fi box from Amazon, which connectors would be required and where would they go in the large woofer?

The wifi box quoted will only support 2.1 as it doesn't have the required 5.1 outputs, still stuck with two speakers on that.

Oh well, this long conversation has saved me buying a box that wouldnt have got all the speakers working. I feel happy with the sound so I will thank you for your patience and listen to my 2.1 surround sound.

If you wanted to use all 5 speakers from a stereo source you could use something like this:

.Oh no, I'm loosing the plot now. I have 2 small MP3 players with different music recorded on them so lots of stuff I like and I have a 64gb hard drive which linked to the computer and some more tracks saved on that and I have my winter music sorted out. Pity all 5 speakers are not working but the cables trailing about getting dusty used to annoy me so this will be great for my little study.
