Morning All
CCL - sorry to hear OH is so down again. Do you think that being debt free has sunk in for him yet?
Quiet day for us today. Have to sit and do a comprehension exercise with son for his homework but other than that nothing we 'must' do today. Maybe a walk to the local park if the weather allows.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

5. Filled in YNAB
6. Did some decluttering and found some coats and clothing to take to charity shopsAiming to early retire August 31st 2026.0 -
Morning everyone
Foxgloves thats a really good idea, thank you. I am trying to use my debit card less but occasionally there is something that its cheaper to buy from the internet.
I am just updating all my spreadsheets, emptying receipts out of my handbag, filing bits of paper etc.
The sun is shining at last so I have some footie kit out but not sure how much its drying. I also have some washing over the heated airer with the dehumidifier going, but no heating on as it's mild again.
I received a 0% offer on one of my cards yesterday which runs until March 2017. Might have a look and see if its worth doing any shuffling.
Not sure what else is planned. Might have a trip to the tip later with some rubbish (exciting stuff). Otherwise a fairly lazy day I think.
Ooh and glasshalffull I am new here too but its so great to be around like minded people isnt it?0 -
Morning all

Hope your DH is ok when he wakes up CCL
Well, it is murky outside but not currently actually raining, so I might chance putting the washing out in a minute in the hope that it will at least partly dry!
Other things for today:
Get rid of rest of dead flowers into the compost
Do another load of washing, as the basket is overflowing
I do find getting it dry is a real pain in the winter, and tend to put it off!
General tidy up
Put boxes of sales stock away in the loft
Clean some silver / silver plated items ready to put in my sales unit tomorrow
HM meals from stores
Make a cake or some scones
Put summer clothes away
Find out some more items to make doing a charity shop run worthwhile tomorrow
Any surveys / FPL
Sort out postal survey items for next week
Walk and groom pup later on
I am sure there is more - I will pop back and update later

Glad everyone seems to be having a good weekend despite the weather - we're waiting on more rain blowing through this afternoon
La escocesa - have sent you a PM - hope that's OK
My update so far....
Proactive MSE-ing- Review food in cupboards, freezer and fridge and sort meal plan for week. Then make up shop list for basics & go out for these (shopping probably tomorrow) - did shopping for week yesterday - will only need to top up with bread this week
- Dig out rucksacks for car bags - must do this
- Still working on ideas for aunt's Christmas
- Have a look at Argos offer & nectar points available - can I get 3 games as Christmas pressies for free??? Yes this would work but they don't have the game in that I want. I'll keep checking daily as I really want 2 of this game for Christmas pressies
- Put hook on back of bedroom door for dressing gown - we've only had the hook in the house for several years

- Empty trolley in garage so that when rain stops I can move new logs to woodstore - not only did this but as the rain went off I stacked the tonne of logs that had been delivered
- The unloved sock drawer may be brought out tonight and socks mated with their partners - sounds like a nice job to do in front of the fire
- Set up OWL to monitor electricity usage - thanks clf
- Run to charity shop required with items liberated courtesy of Mins game
- Post on here once a day 14/28
- Get up at 6 am on work days 7/28 - not a work day - but still counted
- Watch more of series 4 of "The Walking Dead" - now finished series 4 - left with decision as to whether to pay to watch series 5 or not
- Check banks
- Rug from garden - don't ask
- Wicker basket with no base
- Dead mop
- 3 large bags of carrier bags from garage to tip
- Things given to next door for grandchildren to play with
- 2 Chiquita hats
- 2 Chiquita garlands
- 1 stick on moustache (Clootie is modelling all of these in my signature picture)
- 1 pack of Nerf cards
- 1 Luigi plastic figure
- (Next door loves me
)
But nothing will be done if I don't get of my arris & start working...
Catch y'all later folks - and be careful out there.Debts 07/12/2021

Hi all,
I wrapped up warm for the cermony at the cenotaph & then didn't even need a coat as it's so mild. We've had the fire on for 2 or 3 evenings, then had to switch it off as both too hot. Should be stashing some serious credit towards folder months at this rate. Only a few frugal things today:
*Free coffees in Waitrose.
*Pumpkin soup from freezer for lunch.
*Washer loaded & timer set for cheap overnight laundry.
*Make packed lunch for tomorrow as Mr f back at work.
*Gift voucher delivered this morning so crossed it off my Christmas Presents planner.
*Knit more of Dad's jumper. Am half way through the fairisle panel I should have finished last week.
*Saved 2 coffee cups, a deep meat tray & some other items for using in the garden.
CCL - Re paying in cheques.....one of the things I like about the Co-op Bank is that you can pay in at any branch of the Post Office. For cash, they just need your bank card & for cheques, I just order a stash of paying in enveopes from the bank. The cheque/s & paying in slip go in the envelope, which is sealed, I fill in my sort code & account no on the front then just hand it in at post office counter. You are given a general receipt with date which says you deposited a payment. They convey all such envelopes to Co-op Bank who pay it in. Takes a few days to appear on statement but it has been very helpful to me when I haven't been able to get into town on a weekday.
Right, out with the knitting needles.
