Safeserver! is it safe>

Just been trying to update CCcleaner who put me on to Filehippo to update and in the process my Google search changed to Safeserver which I have not seen before. Is this a virus? how do i get Google back?
I am using Firefox!

CCleaner is from piriform ie http://www.piriform.com/

Oh as an aside when you download CCleaner untick the box that says Install Chrome as your default browser, i.e now Uninstall chrome from Programs in Control Panel, i know free programs like CCleaner etc need to get their money somewhere but forcing things on their users (unless the user is vigilant) is not really on they should not pre-tick stuff you may not want, cf Adobe flash too

Edited oh and download.cnet seem to do it regurarly too

http://unchecky.com/ is quite handy Obviously still need to pay attention when installing stuff but I've found it quite useful

File hippos files are correct (Even Piriform that make ccleaner link to the site)
You must not have updated ccleaner as there is no toolbar in it. (So you've installed something else?)
When using filehippo you need to make sure you select DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION

Open ccleaner, goto TOOLS
click INSTALL DATE twice to get last install at the top to see what you need to uninstall then uninstall it

Thanks everyone for your comments. Re the CCleaner/Filehippo remarks I was on my guard or thought I was when i was directed to Filehippo but this is where they trap you into downloading something you dont want. When you get to that page there is usually two choices and it is easy to take the wrong one. In this case I was aware something was amiss and quickly cancelled it and abhorted the CC upgrade. When I came to search for something else i found Safe search was my search engine, where Google went to I don't know.

My search engine at the moment is Firefox and when I clock on it, Google makes a brief appearance>
