Money Moral Dilemma: Should I contribute to my mum's broadband?

Only pay if she is keeping it for you, otherwise why pay? I have SkyGo Extra as part of my package and it means I can use it on a good few devices. I have given the login to my father in law so he can watch the football as he doesn't have Sky Sports. So does that mean he needs to pay? No. I gave it to him the login details to use, hes not renting them from me. I chose the more expensive package for myself, just like your mum did. This isn't a dilemma, it's more common than you think.0

Or.. accept you're probably getting a sweet deal leaching of your mother and pay towards it - you adult-shaped child.
You can use login details at a different address.0 -
If you want it you pay for it yourself.if the extra bit is just for you pay the difference.0

They charge for the HD not the standard BT Sport, we don't watch sport so I called and said I wasn't interested in paying for the HD service and they took it off and refunded the previous month as I didn't know until I got the bill online that they had put this charge on. Best thing about BT broadband for me is FON and the app on my devices that connect me simply without remembering loads of passwords.0 -
Surely this is another invention by 'the team'. How can anyone need guidance in making their mind up on what's best/right for their Mum? And they wouldn't be asking if it was about what's best for themselves - at least financially, which is what the site's about.0

If you and your mother can watch BT sport on a computer screen or tablet, then BTSport is free of charge - you only need to pay for a subscription if you watch on TV.0

Yes is the answer. If you are using the service then please at least offer to pay. You wouldn't have asked the question if you didn't feel a little bit guilty letting your mum pay for a service that you are using.

If your Mum is quite well off she may think nothing of it and be happy to treat you. You could always treat her to a meal out occasionally as a return gesture.0
