Oh soooooo close to pot-opening day :j:j:j.I am starting to think about last-minute places to find pot money: random coins left lying around the house, money for Pinecone surveys done this year,my roadkill pot etc.
Today I did a huuuuuuge grocery shop-haven't done a proper shop since forever:I have just been buying stuff for a few days at a time,at whatever supermarket I am near.Today I did a bit of meal-plan,then went to supermarket.Hopefully,with lots in the fridge and freezer,I won't need to go shoppping with 4 [STRIKE]naughty[/STRIKE] over-excitable children during the holidays.In the change,I was given a lovely new shiny £5 note.It has gone into the pot,along with a £2 coin that has been sitting in my purse for a couple of weeks (I don't spend £2 coins,only pot them).
So £7 potted tonight.
Sooooooooooo looking forward to pot-opening day-have I mentioned?:rotfl::rotfl:

Just realised its my birthday opening day , for some reason thought it was the 1st.......not my birthday:rotfl: after all these years i know when that is:rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning, not checked in for what seems like months, but needed to check on opening date, my OH will be counting up on the 4th as I'm on nights that week, although Iv been potting on a regular basis I'm not sure Iv achieved my target this year, I will be putting the money to our Florida fund, we were hoping to go next year but my youngest daughter has had a baby this year so finances will be tight for a while for them so our date has been put back to 2018 which gives me another year of potting for our Disney tickets. Reading previous posts sounds like everyone getting ready for the big day next week.... Excited.

I have done the sealed pot for a few years now but this is the first year I have stayed on the forum, stuck to it properly and not dipped into my pot once. I'm looking forward to counting it up next week to see how much I have towards my wedding dress :-)

Why that's a beautiful birthday cake and T was delighted with it, so was a I though I may have had just a little larger piece!! :shhh: He had a lovely Birthday with us all having a brilliant day, just perfect. Well done with that 5p you found, crikey it looks as though it might just be your lucky few days lately, let's hope it continues.

Hello at last, cattysmum, lovely to see you back at last. I take it that you've got the declaration date which is, just in case you hadn't noticed, the 3rd November. You mean you became a Grandmother and didn't even let us know!! :eek: I take it Mum and her little treasure are doing well, love and congratulations to you all!!
I hope do you've achieved your target or got fairly close to it. Get ready for Nov 4th to restart your savings and lets hope you're able to go to Florida and Disneyland!!!

Thanks for hugs greatly received We lost my BIL suddenly at the begining of the year understanbly we were devastated My sister had only been married 2 1/2 yrs:( and he was ill for 5 weeks and gone so been spending alot of time with her and helping but today we have been sea side today as my sisters birthday:T

Sorry to hear of your loss bubbs. You sound like a good sibling for taking care of your sister. Life is very precious and we should try to make every day count, and find something good in every day.
I've decided to do some extra last minute potting by NOT buying shop coffee each day this week - Managed two days so far.
