POST 5 by agrinnall is correct. You need x amount of posts to be able to post image.
So does anyone tell you when you've reached x posts or do you keep trying unsuccessfully until it works?
Obviously I haven't reached x yet.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -

The link you tried to use is nonsense ... 1. it is thumbnail size (28x30 pixels) and 2. it doesn't end in an image format like .jpg or .png... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -

So how are we meant to know how many post you need for links. Surely there must be guidance or rules somewhere stating the number on the Forum rules. If it is not published then it is wasting a lot of people of lot of time trying.0

The actual number is a top secret to make spammers' lives harder.
With 21 posts you are in a good position to find this out by trial&error and tell us. I think you aren't very far away.
Meanwhile post a link to the image you want to post, but break it to prevent it from getting live and censored, e.g.

When I click on the image on postimage and try and put in the forum all I get is letters and figures not the photo itself.
Sounds like you are copying the image link into the posting window, rather than inserting it as an image.
You need to click the "Insert Image" button,, and paste the URL of the image into that box.
