Ukcps fake ntk help urgent

Hello,

I am writing as a registered keeper of the car.
I received TWO NTK's from UKCPS Car Parking Solutions Reg. Company nO. 5090613, which states that the car was observed in a location that is over 50 miles from where I am staying. Both NTK's are sent within one day for the same shopping center location and the same times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The car was never there as I was at work all day.
I read the newbies thread but I am confused.
Should I write in the first letter that "as a registered owner I am informing you that the car was not in the location that you observed it. Please inform me of the exact city and location in that city that you believe you observed the car with the registration plate xxxxxxx . Please provide photographic time and date stamped evidence of the car being there. Can you prove that the car was there? . I am challenging the validity of the INVOICE you sent and I am requesting a POPLA 10 digit verification code. Please no harassment letters. Thank you."
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Please help me out. I want to send the letter today.
Thank you!

Has it occurred that your car registration has been cloned? This is a lot more serious than a parking ticket.

I would adopt a far less confrontational approach. Why do you need a PoPLA code if it was not your car? Ask them for photographs immediately in order that you can decide whether to go to the police or not.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

    WHY ?

UKCPS dont give popla as an ADR , its the IAS and has been for 15 months
  • Ok, thank you, The Deep, I will ask them for photographs of the car .
Thank you, Redx, for clarifying the POPLA situation for me.
I will keep you updated on the situation .

I would write in the initial appeal that you fear that your numberplate has been cloned as the car was 50 miles away and you will have to involve the police.
  • Thank you, Guys Dad, that is the truth!

It's more likely to be a simple number plate misread, but flagging up your concerns and threats to involve the police should focus their minds and make them re-check their photos.

Twice? Hopefully it is and that then destroys the credibility of their ANPR system. Unless, of course, OP has non standard number personalised plates.
  • The two NTK's are for the same time and date, they carry the same charge reference number, but sent by them in two different dates.

You could appeal to the PPC using the template letter in the NEWBIES thread.

If/when it is refused, make an IAS appeal. This will cost the parking scumpany money and in the unlikely event it got to court, the PPC would have no evidence to show your car was in breach of their made up rules.

"It must have been cloned" <sigh>

For goodness sake. The incidence of vehicle cloning - despite the best efforts of rumour-mills and scaremongers - is extremely small. By comparison the incidence of ANPR misreads is considerably greater - by orders of magnitude. Don't go frightening posters by suggesting that they have a cloned vehicle before we know a few more facts.

An intelligent first question would be to establish exactly what it was that the poster received. It would seem very clear that they didn't get a windscreen ticket (NtD). Is the letter a notice to keeper within the 14-day limit for ANPR based cases or is it in relation to a NtD issued 28-56 days previously?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(
