  • They were given my mobile number each time, called it the first time when the canceled but not the second time when they decided to abandon it
  • So the meter tester has just comfirmed the meter was indeed recording a load when there was none, and that there were no problems with its wiring , however meter went blank as he prepared to test its accuracy.

    This ment he was unable to carry out any tests and has now reported it as a blank meter to be replaced at a later date.

    So now back to waiting for the 5th appointment to sort this.
  • So today was the 5th time I have taken a day off to get this sorted, and after given the engineer from npower the usual correct address as Npower had given him my plot number again...

    It turned out to be the same guy as the first time, who again apologised and said sorry I don't know why they have sent me again,
    as like the first time, he cant deal with a meter on a 3 phase system, took a reading and left again.

    I am left just speechless, in my 20+ phone calls to npower I have stressed at the end of every phone call its on a 3 phase system to avoid them making that mistake again.

    So now going to have another wait for a 6th appointment :wall

    My account was in credit when it started and they increased my DD to pay for the increased usage so I work it out to be at least £280 of usage they have taken from my bank that I haven't used.

    I got a letter from Npower, 2 weeks ago to say as it been over 40 days since I raised my complaint I can contact the Ombudsman if I wish, I have never used them before, would it be worth it at this stage?
