Tuesday 3rd November: What small DFW things will you be doing today?

                    When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

            I'm sorry for starting a thread with the wrong date / title - and as I can't amend a header I'm afraid I've had to leave it. I was so intent on putting a smilie in I got confused. Please accept my apologies for any confusion.
 In my defence - my coffee is made but not yet consumed
 So - my plans for today
 Proactive MSE-ing- All meals from stores
- I have a phone number I need to call about Dad's pensions from many moons ago - will do this today
 - Make up Black out box & put in newly cleared space in living room unit (I have all the stuff - it's just not all together) - I will start this tonight
 - Look at Christmas shelf and make some more room in it - then tally with Christmas list - will man I don't have to buy some presents
 - Clean out a couple of drawers in living room unit - I promise
 - Post on here once a day 9/28
- Get up at 6 am on work days 2/28- you can see I need more practice at being up and co-ordinated
 - On to series 4 of "The Walking Dead"
 - Check banks for direct debits going out and look at bills
- Clean out another kitchen cupboard to up the Mins game total - I have my eyes on a toast rack that is somewhere and I know there are 3 pairs of shoes in the wardrobe that need to go

 Hope you all have a good day - take care out there everyone
 Will catch up laterDebts 07/12/2021

            Ha ha ha Clootiesmum! Made me chuckle first thing in the morning which is no feat for the light hearted! I wouldn't worry about it though it'll get eaten into the ether before long. I absolutely LOVE TWD! Am so jealous that you have all those episodes to watch...
 Things for today:
 * all meals from stores
 *[STRIKE] get something out of freezer for dinner[/STRIKE]
 * dig out gc receipts for the last week and update gc totals

 * dig out id needed for interview
 * [STRIKE]an hours gardening. Think I will plant remaining onion sets & garlic :j as well as some more general cleaning up[/STRIKE] Didn't get a chance to do the planting but dug over a bed, washed the outside of the greenhouse and washed a load of pots. Not bad for just over an hour and with dgd's *help*
 * [STRIKE]take dgd to free play group this morning[/STRIKE]
 *[STRIKE] get petrol[/STRIKE]
 * go for a walk this afternoon
 * continue sorting out larder - we can actually walk into it again!
 * flylady bathroom & dgd's bedroom
 * look through wood in garage and see if any of it can be used for shelves in dgd's room
 * check onepoll

            Morning, if the title is wrong I didnt notice, but then I havent got my contact lenses in yet!!!
 DS2 has the chance to go on Germany on a school history trip. He cant find the letter but thinks it costs about £500. In the past he hasnt told me about school trips and I have found out later from other parents because he thinks we cant afford it. I have been putting £10 away for the boys since they were small and I have told him he can use this money if he wants to go. Its not like OH and I can take him abroad at the moment but he is undecided, keeps saying its a lot of money.
 So today, mountains of washing that I cant get dry, OH went to Li*dl to do the shopping for me last night (a very rare thing). He stuck to the list and stayed on budget. Chicken pie for tea. DS1 and I have been doing something together on a Tuesday afternoon but not sure what the plan is today.
 Right, better get ready for work. Have a good day everyone x0

            Hi everyone :hello:
 Ha ha Clootiesmum - that made me laugh. But do tell - how do you put a smilie on the title? Are you still using the old layout? I can't figure out how to do it on the new layout...
 DNMS - nice one on the next interview you have lined up!
 Hi Ziggy - hope things with you are going well. What is Lucky Phone??? I have a feeling with you it may be a competition I haven't heard of
 CCL - You'll get through today - lots of deep breaths.
 YorkshireLass - that sounds like a great idea to use your son's savings for his trip. Hopefully he'll come round.
 Big hellos to everyone else who follows!
 I've just noticed the time!! I best post properly on lunch rather than now!
 *makes a mad dash for the shower*0
