Card fraud - Unusual transaction
Comments

You have had a fraudulent transaction stopped and didn't occur a loss. Isn't that enough reason to be light hearted and celebrate?0
-
It is highly improbable that the suspect transaction was from an ATM unless the ATM in question dispenses coins .......
And as to your bank actually calling you within 10 minutes ..... my bank hasn't called me regarding anything since the 1990's .... the only reason the ever call these days is to try to sell me something.0 -
Colsten, I have actually been laughing at the amount it was only when I queried why I couldn't see the transaction online they said they refused it at the time. Its just the annoyance.
I didn't like that I am being questioned when I asked an innocent question.
Ben, my previous post did say I couldn't be sure where it happened but choices were limited so why make it a big issue?
And fyi my bank is a telephone (and now internet) only bank. They have real people in the UK you can speak to 24/7. I have been with them over 20 years and highly recommend them. Oh and they never cold call! The truth doesn't care if you believe or not...0 -

Explain this logic to me and explain how a transaction using my pin can be obtained by me using my card online? I'm curious. :think:The truth doesn't care if you believe or not...0 -
Well you can't even draw out as little as a fiver nowadays from a cash machine, let alone £2 and a small amount of pennies.0

ATM's do dispense £5 notes, at Natwest and Tesco's in my local high street.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. I'm afraid you're the one that's not making sense. I have already asked you why you think it was an ATM transaction but you haven't bothered to answer. Now you seem to be suggesting that it was a PIN authorised transaction, so I'll repeat part of my question: what leads you to think that?
If you really want an explanation as to why a £2.08 transaction can't be an ATM withdrawal I'll give you one but I'd think it would be pretty obvious.0 -

I am making perfect sense if you read my first two posts properly. As stated, I had a fraudulent transaction on my card. I believe the card was cloned when I used a cash machine recently. I have asked if anyone else has suffered fraud and had a transaction from 'Marrakechinn' a company that doesn't exist. The truth doesn't care if you believe or not...0 -
a bank called you over £2.08? which bank please? And is this a regular use acc?0
