M&S still selling mens trousers with zip which are too short for purpose

Back in Sept 2015 it was reported in the press that there was a issue with some M&S mens trousers where the design had changed such that the zip fly was at least an inch shorter than previously - making it very difficult to answer a call of nature

At the time M&S claimed it was on a minor slip up and the bad stock had been replaced

But it seems they didn't have the sense to do a check on the other rangers of trousers, or it really was a cost cutting measure which they hoped we wouldn't spot

Fast forward to November ...
This week I ordered some M&S trousers ( not the ones referred to in the above article) on line - but same line item as I had bought previously - only to find they now had the short zip problem. by comparison with my existing trousers with the same item no.

I assumed it might just be an old stock issue, but on visiting the local store found that all the trousers in store of the range I was interested in had the same short zip problem

For the record and is case M&S read this it was this range

I then checked the range in the next price band up - still the same short zip issue. !

So it seems the problem is still not resolved and is a much wider issue than they thought

I have reported this issue direct to M&S and they do claim to be looking in to it

But next time you go to buy some trousers at M&S, please make sure you check out more than the fit of the
waist and the length of the leg otherwise you might be embarrassed later

I know it's more of an issue for men of course, but the same applies to zips in ladies trousers - even those that are waist-high trousers now have shorter zips.

Very strange.

Probably all made in the far east where people tend to be shorter.

Just want to say I to have some of these painful M&S trousers. Two pairs stay at the back of the wardrobe worn once.

Websites don't allow reviews that take you away from that website. If you had posted the review without the link to the daily mail it probably would have been accepted.

It's not just M&S, I bought some Lambretta branded jeans which have minuscle zips.

One would like to think they were made to an M&S spec rather than just purchased from some factories standard output

LMAO, you're lucky if you get a zip with the ladies. you have to sqooosh everything over ya carcass these days.
