Valli, may I ask what the recipe that you were doing with applies, vinegar and chilli was? I've still got some left and I've run out of ideas. There is only so much apple and ginger jam, apple jelly and chutney a person can make without going mad.

    Red chilli Jelly

    1 kilo bramleys
    100ml cider vinegar
    450g granulated sugar
    3 red chilli

wash and chop the bramleys, put in a pan with enough water to cover and bring to boil, cover and simmer (20mins-half an hour) add cider vinegar and boil for 5 mins
strain 8 hours/overnight through a jelly bag - do not squeeze or the jelly will be cloudy appraently.

now the recipe said collect 1 pint of the strained juice but I measured all mine and, for each pint used 450g sugar.
Add sugar to juice and heat gently until is dissolves. Finely slice chillis (keep or discard seeds according to your taste). bring to boil and boil for 10-15 mins (or to jam temp with thermometer) and test for set. Allow to cool slightly so all chilli is distributed evenly, stir and pot.

I didn't allow to cool so my chillis aren't evenly distributed.:p

If you had loads of apples and wanted to make crumbles you could do this with the skin and cores, because, apparently, that's where the pectin is anyway!

CY glad you are feeling up to a bit of light fluttering but please take it easy and don't try to do too much.
Pigpen hope you feel better asap, I'll is not fun when you have things to do.
Bossy hope little master bossy is starting to feel more like himself.
Mil has nerve mapping at the hospital later to try and find out what's wrong with her foot, I've got some stuff I've made for the hospital so I can take that in with me and I'll try my knitting for while I'm waiting as I've as the procedure can take anything from 30-90 mins (plus waiting time)
Went up in the attic again yesterday evening and cleared a load more stuff - standing to see space up there.
Will try and finish the lists off today.
    Have a good day all

Dancemum thanks for the warning, I am going to check today.

Have washed the kitchen and utility floors. I am disappearing under mountains of washing that I cant get dry. Had to put the tumble drier on last night.

Gov meeting this morning and then meeting an old friend for a catch up at a garden centre this afternoon.

Hope to get a bit of flying done inbetween; ended up taking DS1 to urgent care with his burnt foot last night so did not get to the flying.

    Morning lovelies :hello:

Cold and foggy this morning brrrrr think ill crack open my big coat. Council 'inspection' consisted of a 15 yr old filling out a form sat in the chair which took all of 5 minutes haha. Still, umpteen repairs booked in and the house is spotless, but I stressed out for nowt........im a nugget head hahahahah

Work and food shopping today. Will do the 3 machine jiggle shortly, rest of dailies and school run, then have brekkie and get ready for work. Need to get on the blower to tax credits too.

Have a lovely day ladies xx

    Morning

Just going over my list for today. I've just spent the past hour doing computer dailies and working my way through more links I've saved! Out of 18 I've kept 2 :rotfl:

I used my new iron this morning to do DD a blouse. Its so much lighter than my last one so I'm going to get on with the ironing this morning as soon as I'm done here. There's hardly anything left to iron so shouldn't take me long at all. All the laundry that's left to do it none iron ;)

Errands I'd planned to run today are being moved to Friday instead except for some grocery shopping as they're not as time sensitive, they just need to be done before Monday. Tomorrow I'm making deliveries to the school then baking for the bake sale at DD's school on Thursday (hence grocery shopping today. I'm out of baking powder) and I'm working all day Thursday. So in theory I'm not "free" until Friday. Whereas next week I've got a 5 minute job Monday afternoon, work Tuesday and then nothing planned for the rest of the week :rotfl:

    Personal:
    Ironing
    Work (Books, orders, accounts)
    Register iron guarantee
Dailies (kitchen, bathroom, beds, livingroom, laundry, ironing)
    Finances & Budget
    [STRIKE]Clear 10 emails that aren't junk[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Clear 5 bookmarks on fb[/STRIKE]
    Laundry catch up

Tense Tuesday: Kitchen & Dining Room
    Level 1

Wipe down the cupboard fronts, including kickboards, and get those door handles hygienically clean!
    Wipe down your large appliances.
    Level 2
Clear a hotspot, is the under sink cupboard ready to topple out on you if the door opens?
Wipe down the chairs too. Including the legs!
    Level 3
To the cooker - give the hob a good shine!
And the oven too, if you've any steam left!
    Extras:
    • Set aside a little time for you, this week!
    • Mop a floor or two.
    • Have you sorted your winter list?

I best get moving. I want to get all the laundry done and out of the way asap as I'm sick of looking at it.
