Bossy - I so feel for you -when there are problems that is exactly when you wish there was someone else in your team. And you had no choice (((hugs))) hope it is both soon sorted and something simple xDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
I was doing so well with the ironing, I was almost at the bottom where the school blouses are and my iron has died..well more like started burning internally and smoke coming out of it while the digital display was doing its nut. Its now outside and I'll be off to buy a new one later. That's just something else to add to my to do list for today!
I've managed to do 2 wash loads, now I'm off to jump in the shower and strip my bed before I start paid work which means I can also get another wash load done while I'm working. I'm already I'm going to have to look at moving things around this week and its now 11am on Monday yet
Lets hope today doesn't hold any more surprises. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Natty for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
Some of our abbreviations: DH- dear husband, OH- other half, KH/CF- affectionate term for ex husband or partner DS/DD- dear son/daughter, DGC- dear grandchild, WM- washing machine, DW- dishwasher, LR/DR- living/dining room, RoD- room of doom, Mr S/A/T/M/L/Al- supermarkets Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi. You get the picture!

Morning all,
Thanks for the lists Bossy, hope your Ds feels better soon and the Dr's can get to the bottom of it.
I failed in my mission last week to last more than one day flying. I will try again this week.

I need to wake DD up for her bottle soon, she's having a sleepy day today despite sleeping 12 hours last night. Mind you she didn't sleep at all yesterday so she's probably catching up.0 -
Well I'm now at work and DS home with granny and gramps. They've no idea so we've to go back for blood tests if no improvement by Thursday:(
She thinks not appendix and checked sugar levels etc.
I'm bushed. Must work.Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Sorry you didn't get a definitive answer, Bossy. Poor little Master Moo, it's rotten feeling rotten.
Valli, may I ask what the recipe that you were doing with applies, vinegar and chilli was? I've still got some left and I've run out of ideas. There is only so much apple and ginger jam, apple jelly and chutney a person can make without going mad.
Lawn raked for the third time, this morning. I thought it would only be half a bin bag, but no. And the huge sycamore hasn't even started shedding yet.
Four pairs of ankle boots and two pairs of shoes cleaned and sprayed with waterproofing stuff. Even though I did them outside I can hardly breathe in here.
Kelpie's off to the groomers today for his second proper bath, so I'll have mooch around that part of Plymouth and visit their library to pretend that reading trashy novels is a valid way of spending three hours while he gets the pampering treatment.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all
Hope master bossy continues to improve bossy. Hugs to you all
Morning at hospital with mil went ok got back to work in time so did my shift there.

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
It sounds as if the Dr took Master Moo's problems seriously, Bossy - good.
DH and I have cleaned all through the house - apart from steam cleaning the kitchen floor, which I will do as soon as I've prepped veg for tea, before I go into the big city to meet my friend off the train from London.
I received an email from Germany with a document in German to pass on to a non-German speaker, so I have had to sit and translate 2 sides of A4. Am quite pleased that my brain is still reasonably well in gear for that sort of thing, even though I officially retired 6 years ago.
DH was in a strop but appears to have cheered up since lunchIn fact, he may have fallen asleep - I haven't heard anything from him for an hour. He was supposed to be taking his railway uniform to the dry cleaners, but the car is still on the drive....
Right:
- veg
- kitchen floor
- filing
- cuppa
- course preparation
- out
Enjoy your trashy novels, Honey Bear0 -

Afternoon everyone
Well we had a glorious, warm and sunny day here yesterday and today it's like a different country, with thick fog and an on-shore chilly breeze yuk !!!
Cooked a whole chicken yesterday for ages but legs etc not fully cooked, so we ate some of the breast and I put the rest of it back in to cook some more. Then, of course, it was so well cooked that it fell to bits. Just taken most off and going to make a herby wine sauce for it. Rest is simmering away to make some stock/soup.
Done all the dailies.
Dusted all way through.
Nearly finished the kitchen. Just the fridge and floor left to do.
Sorted all the recycling and put into their boxes.
One freezer tidied and listed - other one still to do.
Done menu plan for November
Shopping list made for butcher the morrow
Nearly finished accounts
Given in and drawn curtains !
Cuppa made - now having a little sit
Bossy - glad to hear Dr not too worried about DS. I was pondering on it this morning and wondered if he had developed an allergy to something ? Can you think what he has eaten/drunk last couple of times it happened ?
HB - I love the odd chick lit as they are so relaxing.
