Neighbours gutter!!

Guy's
I'm in a terraced house and my gutter joins my neighbours.
Basically, her gutter is blocked to the point it has weeds growing out of it. Also, the downpipe is in her garden.
When it rains, the water has nowhere to go except overflow into our garden. What makes it worse, is it overflows above our back door to the point where the door is unusable when it rains - it's like a blasted waterfall!!
We have written to the neighbour politely asking that she gets the gutter cleaned - but nothing.
Is there a legal route to make her get them cleaned?
To be honest, we don't really care if we fall out with her. We've never got on that well and she is disliked by everyone who lives here.
Any advice appreciated.

Do you have legal cover on your house insurance?
If so give them a ring and they will advise you.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure, so will have to look into it.
I've not found a lot of info on this to be honest, but sure I read that it's deemed something like an actionable nuisance??Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
If you do have legal cover and they think you have a case they will refer to a solicitor and they will deal with it.0

Get hold of a pair of ladders and unblock it yourself. A blocked gutted is not worth starting a neighbour dispute over.0

Do you have an outside drain on your side ie where the kitchen sink waste pipe goes ?
If so why not put your own down pipe in ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

Unfortunately not.
Main drains run under the house back to front. I don't realistically have anywhere to run a downpipe if I installed one.
I'd have to dig up the garden and build a soak-away at a lot of time and expense.Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
How without trespassing on her land?
