Talking about the word art again (sorry ).
My dad is very very difficult to buy for so this year I'm going to do some of the word art pictures for him. Dad played football when he was young so the first picture will be a silhouette of a footballer with the names of all the people in his life then in it, the second one will be of a golfer as he played golf when we were young and all the names of the people in his life then will go in that one, the last one will be a bowler which he plays now again it'll be the people in his life now that'll go into it, grandbrats, great grandbrats etc. They're not that big so I'll have them printed separately and either get a larger frame or I'll put them in separate frames. I don't know if anyone is going to do one but I thought that the above might give you an idea if you were.0 -
I buy mine in a discounted grain and nut store (the ones where you they weight it out for you, weigh to gain style stores) but other good places are ethnic stores or Chinese supermarkets...No longer Debt free

I can't belive that we're in December already, it just feels too mild (not that I'm complaining!). Just a reminder that Lidl sells UTZ-certified chocolate, and its on 1/2 price offer this weekend. I need to replenish my baking stash just in time for Christmas.
My first Christmas party of the year with old friends is scheduled for Friday week. HM chocolate goodiies is what they are going to get
As for the Carol Service the following Tuesday, this is where my jars of 10p RTC TTD mincemeat and rolls of 99p RTC TTD pastry will come into their own. A dollop of thick cream with Cointreau won't break the bank.
Then its back to chocolate goodies for friends from the Wednesday onwards until Christams Eve. The added bonus being a free chocolate-y smell in the house for guests (I have gone right off it myself).

If you are worried about a wreath lasting, you could try making a rag wreath, I made some a few years ago they have survived.
If you google Rag Wreath you will find instructions, all you need is a metal coat hanger and some fabric scraps.
