Friday 30th October - what small DFW things will you be doing today

Morning all

((Hugs)) Carrie
Thanks for the start Jonno
I am jealous of Mrs F's big garden, too
Dark, rainy and horrible here too. And it is my birthday, and had hoped to celebrate by going for a nice walk in the countryside somewhere. Oh well, there will be other, nicer days - and it might clear up a bit later
List for today:
Clean stairs and bathroom as OH has traipsed up there with muddy shoes - or perhaps I will make him do it instead
HM meals from stores. We had toyed with the idea of eating out, but have had a lot of expense with car bills this last month, and to be honest are usually disappointed with what we get for the money as compared to what we can have at home. I found a pork loin in the freezer, so we will have that with roasted veg
How much would that cost if we had it in a restaurant? Well, the pork loin was on offer at £3.30 (and there will be some left over), veg were either free from the garden or cheap from the market
And it really isn't much effort to cook! Might make a plum crumble for pud
Walk pup later, when it hopefully stops raining. His coat (ordered from ebay) should arrive today, so he might be a bit more inclined to brave the puddles :rotfl: He is asleep in OH's chair atm.
Groom pup's fur - it is long and all seems to grow in different directions :rotfl: He is going to a professional groomer next week (free introductory puppy groom), so it will be interesting to see if she can make him look any different
He will need clipping eventually, but not this weather
FPL, surveys etc
Bit of paperwork for my small business
Need to go out later to post something for RM survey. Need to check whether it needs to be done this morning or this afternoon.
Well, planning a lazy day today, though would have done some gardening had the weather been better
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all,
Thanks for starting Jonno
Hugs to Carrie
I'm looking forward to reading your blog over the weekend Foxgloves!
Yesterday was a NSD and I'm hoping it will be today. I'm going to have to buy lunch but I'm going to do this with my Boots advantage card points! Cheating I know!
I have so much to do at work it is crazy. I've been in since 8am and have got to the point where I'm looking around thinking what on earth do I tackle next so I thought I'd have a 5 minute break and post on here! I'll bringing work home with me again this weekend
This is my busiest time of year so I'm looking forward to December when it should calm down a bit.
I've got a meeting at 1pm on another campus so I'm hoping I can walk there/ back to save on fuel. Plus I'd never get a parking space again here!
Banking checked. FPL and surveys to do.
Tea tonight will be roasted sweet potatoes from our Aldi shop on Wednesday
I'm picking up poochy after work as we have her for the weekend. Looking forward to some lovely autumnal walks with her and OH
We have a pumpkin to carve tonight ready for Halloween tomorrow (30 years olds can have pumpkins too right?). We're making vegetable curry tomorrow so some of the pumpkin can go in there.

Hello,
It's w..e...e...k...e...n...d here. Hurrah.
I'm gonig to have to write this list as I go or I'll just sit on the computer all morning!
Enjoyed some of the bottle of Polish quince liqueur a friend gave us last night.
Debt-Free Nillionaire Month 5:
* Clean bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and study with Stardrops and minimal cloths. We didn't clean last week. Guess that's money saving! :rotfl:
* Bought pyjamas the other day cheaply but a size too big, OH is on the sewing machine with them just now and some clothes she bought herself that are too long. Stood on the stairs so she could pin the hems without having to bend over.
* Washing out on the line.
* Stock-take of medicines. All fine.
* OH wombled two pallets from a neighbour's skip, with permission.
* RM Surveys
* Made a new notepad from junkmail.
* OH made picked onions and cabbage.
* Re-do application for OH's new bank account. Last lot of paperwork lost in the post. Grr.
More later...
Have a good day everyone.

Dawn, Happy Birthday
Clf, Must have been tough yesterday.
Bob, Hope you are feeling better.
I've not kept up with the threads whilst we've been away so hope everyone is doing well!
Some small things we've done whilst away
@ Parked the car up on Monday lunchtime and didn't use it again until today
@ Took ys crumpets/teacakes/eggs/bacon with us
@ Just ate out the once (usually there we'd eat out at least 3 times  )
@ Made the most of our fast passes and got front row seats to the shows we wanted & swimming early
@ Played various board games with the kids
Much better then them playing on dh's ipad!
@ Found 2p roadkill
@ Used vouchers we'd been given to buy the boys a mug each & pen that will get used (rather then soft toy that they were asking for!)
@ Took our own drinks/snacks into the evening venues rather the spend a fortune
I'm sure there was loads more but I've been awake since 4;30am and can't think! Will get back to it properly tomorrow
