Welcome to this lovely challenge!
Shove up everyone, make room for more bums on seats please.
Now,would like tea,tea or ovaltine?Mrs Doyle has only just allowed Ovaltine at bedroom....please don't mention coffee in front of her though.
Twenty nsds is a fair number, but not impossible. It depends a lot on your rules. Some people allow budgeted spends;that could be grocery shopping, presents, dog food, holiday spending money...any money you've put aside.
Some don't count 'essential' spends:petrol, milk, bread, prescriptions, bus fare...
Some people count all spends, but tbh honest,I don't think that there are too many doing that.
I don't count bills, dds, rent etc as these are essential spends and non negotiable IYSWIM.
I have a yearly travelcard which I use most days and a yearly subscription for the swimming pool and count these as a one-off yearly spend.
Then there's emergency spends ie prescriptions,a light bulb....
Just a few ideas...
You make the rules for yourself, and can change them at any point too.
So 20 nsds gives you 10 spendy days ie one spendy day every three days.NO nsd for me today,
I've purchased some Christmas presents for my cousins,
though i've gotten them cheaper than where I was going to buy them from.
I've planned for monday, wednesday,Thursday for no spend days,
I'm hoping to grab a few more than that but the weekend is tricky to grab them aha.
It's really the only time I get to spend time with my partner.
It's a good idea to plan ahead what days you want to aim for your nsds - good thinking.
I'm glad you managed to find some pressies at a lower price. :money:1/15 for me today kinda helped I was stuck in work all day x
Work has its uses.Well done! :j:j0 -

Igor, I know we have a month of celebrating Guy Fawkes ahead of us, but when I said I wanted my lunchtime fillet steak served on a bed of rocket with a hot salsa.......put the fireworks away somewhere safe and tell Hubert to stop shaking his maracas, that is definitely not a hot salsa......(memo: stop Hubert watching Strictly Come Dancing..)
Well done Nargle. :j:j
Oh Gawd,I'm not going to sleep tonight...I can't get the image of Hubert shaking his maracas out of my head.
cw18 hi,good to see you!You're signed up.The new job sounds like a definite improvement.0 -
Good morning NSD gang, lots of spending happening for me today, all the first monthly bills are being paid today and some shopping for presents for that C festival that shall not be named. I have the Narglehounds primed and ready, though, because I should be able to get a few NSDs this week!
Oh dear. Have just seen Igor doing his version of cinder toffee ready for the fireworks party later this week. And there was me thinking somebody had done a good job cleaning out the fireplace......One life - your life - live it!0 -
Happy Monday all! :hello:
Who's game for an nsd today?0 -

Those Narglehounds have been having it too easy lately, especially considering their disgraceful performance onboard 'Swobzedex' re Tiddles and the voles.
marmite has to take a stance on this...Narglehounds:shape up or begone, cursed hounds!
And Igor, why do have to take things so literally? That lovely toffee is no inedible...silly boy.0 -

Jodles
I'm telling you jodles16,a change of undies and a toothbrush is all you'll need.Trust me.
That means that we should manage to fit in the now vastly extended vole family ie all 118 of them...that's right, they are fast breeders.:eek::eek:
I've told them all about Vegas anyway...you know, more gold than you can eat blah, blah, blah and,as I suspected, not one of the greedy varmin wants to be left behind.'rubs hands together gleefully'
Don't let us down jodles you're our last hope!'breaks down in tears, along with Hubert, who is game for anything, even though he's completely clueless as usual'
zenshi!Don't poke me in the ribs! What, that's not too over the top,no,of course not...she'll fall for it,I know it...
ps well done on getting #1. :j:j0
