Oops, thought I had time for a quick update, but alas, cake making has taken over:an almond cake to take to a friend's tomorrow and a yummy lemon surprise pudding, which we have already tasted and is divinely good.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be around to update.
Happy weekend all!0 -

:wave: Hello marmite, the lemon pud sounds lovely, as does the almond cake, Igor and Chef want to know do you put the leaves in as well?
Wifey - keep up the good work, you're doing well!
Knitwitch - well done you too, I know you must have shedloads on your plate at the moment, and I hope things resolve themselves soon. You know we are all here for you if you need to unload.
Igor says the new unmentionables you knitted for him are really nice but a bit itchy. Better not tell him you decided on a Scottish theme so knitted them with thread made from woven thistles......
I am hoping for a NSD today as staying confined to barracks doing those pottery little household jobs.
Hope everyone is practising their Scottish jigging for tomorrow night! One life - your life - live it!0 -
Yes, another NSD for the Cauldron of Doom today means my total for the month is......12!!! Ok, I finished short of my target but 12 is good. Will definitely try harder next month.
How is the turnip whisky going, Chef? Will it be ready to drink tomorrow night? Perhaps you ought to move the brewing bucket away from the smoke alarm, that's the third time the fumes have set the alarm off this weekend......think I'll stick to the lavender and elderflower champagne. Unless marmite has a bottle or six of Old Widow hidden away somewhere in her secret hiding place...(through bedroom door, count twelve floorboards in and two feet away from the window under the antique commode chair)One life - your life - live it!0 -

Well he demanded green underpinnings (I am sure he has got St Andrew's Day mixed up with St Patrick's day!) and that was all I had in
Oh and claiming number 27 today :beer::j:beer::beer:Must use my stash up!0 -

The front page is looking all spick and span, though you might want to check your totals.
Well done everyone if you got more nsds, reached target, exceeded target, found my secret stash of Old Fartinge Widow or enjoyed/survived Hubert's enthusiastic rendition of The Dashing White Sergeant in pantaloons and pretty bonnet.
Monday again tomorrow,eh?
Ah well, there's no getting away from it,but once it's over,it's over for a whole week!
Who^s going to try and snaggle their last possible nsd tomorrow?Come on now, hands up! :money:0 -
Last three days all spendy ones. Only one more present to buy - nephews. I would have got it the other day but the shop had run out of gift cards.
Also bought a couple of things with a 25% discount which I will use for birthday presents st the beginning of the year.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Last day for November NSDs.....unfortunately I can't contribute one today, so am stuck at 12, which is still an achievement.
All the haggis nibbles and porridge vol au vents are ready, together with Mrs Doyle's traditional egg sarnies mountain, the turnip whisky is in huge glass flagons, looking very sinister indeed ( should it really bubble like that, Igor?) , the band have arrived to rehearse their act, there's just a couple of miles of tartan bunting to put up...crack on with it, Igor, you can get that daft donkey to give you some help instead of sitting there polishing his hooves...Ooh, we are going to have such a good end of month party tonight, all is ready and nothing can possibly go wrong this time......One life - your life - live it!0
