  • Wow ! Yet more great advice . Thanks :)
Before I respond to that : seller wants end of march completion .
I told estate agent , their fees are too expensive . I'm now told they want details of my solicitor today . I called the one I've
used a few times. He'll give me quote later . Lease is 110 years . Was thinking of extending it , but was told no need .

As I have paid upfront for my stay here , I think I'll probably have to have 2 places on the go until the end of May . As I say , I am/ was prepared to take everything on the chin when I left Twickenham . I may be able to save on storage fees though by moving the stuff out 2 months early .

In this time , I will be able to plan what to buy / where it goes etc.
Shame I'm not buying stuff in 'sale' time .
The living room is about 2-3 inches smaller than my last home.
Different layout etc. Master bedroom : I think it may be bigger .
However I like the bed I'm currently sleeping on . It's a large double .
In my previous bedroom, it consisted of fitted wardrobe and king size bed.
I did buy a book mentioned a while back about buying stuff for small spaces. I know this place is not too small , but some of the stuff looked amazing . Exciting times ahead .
Regarding changing rooms around ( living room and master bedroom ): not sure . The flat I looked at three weeks ago ( 1 bedroom) , was done like that . The bedroom( really the living room), was the best feature . To think
    I could've ended up with a smaller property .

AC, when you go back to Palmer Snell they need to alter both heir own website ad and the Rightmove ad to reflect sold subject to contract, currently both websites still show it for sale.
  • Thanks harz . I will address that with them today .

Never fear there's always a sale on.......furniture shops have permanent sales - its the only way they shift anything.

When have you ever known DFS not have a sale on the go.........;)

I have noticed that EAs are not immediately posting SSTC now until they have got a little further along, usually when the purchaser has shown proof of funds and ID, has instructed their solicitor and arranged a survey.

Some will post up "currently under offer".

However, they will stop further viewings and just take details of interested parties, just in case the sale falls through.

It might be different in Poole but it's pretty standard practice here.

Re swapping bedroom/living room round - as I said it was just a suggestion. On the floorplan they seem similar sizes and pictures don't show any "features" to make it seem one room is better than the other. The most exciting thing is that you have options.
The only problem with having two properties on the go is two lots of council tax/utilities/insurance.
As LL says - there is always a sale on somewhere, and learn to be cheeky and ask for discount/free delivery - especially if you are buying more than one thing from one place.

Yeah , swings and roundabouts regarding council tax / utility bills etc.
I suppose the only way is again , take it on the chin.
It seems like I got a bargain on the price of flat . There was still interest Yesterday . That one for £5,000 less is only 1 bedroom and has been on the market a fair while now
Come to think of it , that estate agent from Austin Wyatt was a bit put out that I never went for that one . He changed from being a polite 'honest ' type to very mopey saying that it would be very difficult to get anything where I am
