I'm still a bit puzzled by the 5-10 years of service charges. Do you think you won't be alive in 10 years? If you are still breathing what happens about paying the charges, no doubt much increased by then,
at that point?
Who knows ?:) may move again. May not get the flat . Could be run over by a bus ..0 -

No, you may not get that flat but you will get another and remember what I said about working every Monday morning for the rest of your life just to pay for the service charges.......A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Congratulations!!!
Second gallygirl. Give yourself a but of time for a nice smooth easy transition from rental to your new flat.
Then........go for that rail trip round Europe.0 -
Thanks very much for encouragement
Still,numb obviously .
I believe there is a parking space . I'll check. If so, I could let the space out ??
Obviously , got the option of using estate agents solicitors, or use someone else. They use a ' no sale no fee' approach . I believe cost to be between £1,000-1100. I have to pay £400 upfront . Google gave me cheaper prices.
Also, one site I visited didn't recognise the fact I entered my name.
Bloody useless ! All part of the fun I guess0 -
I used moneysupermarket to get the best quote for conveyancing. The firm that was cheapest was a well known local company, they were just as good/bad as the rest
. Personally I'd not use those recommended by estate agents unless I knew them.

Thanks gally. I don't know if I have the right credentials for money supermarket:) suppose, I'd better look .
There is off road parking. I'm sure one of the allocated numbers is mine.
Hopefully , I can let it out .0 -
AC, whatever else you do google "Parkstone Solicitors" and get a quote from the nearest one to you as well.
I'm sure you've already been told this but you'll need documentation to prove where the money is coming from before most/all solicitors will act for you.
I presume you're also arranging a survey?
Edit to add: now is the time for yet more "to do" lists, good luck!0 -
Thanks very much harz. Yes , survey of course
Funny enough, I put "parkstone conveyancing" . Close enough:)0
