Thanks joey !
No , couldn't see myself getting another cat tbh. I'm too soft and don't like it when they die etc.As this Propery is on a busy road , probably just as well0 -
Got email with quote from the solicitor I have always used: over£2,000
However, he did say I could find something cheaper.
Looked at quotes: all around £16-1700 inc stamp duty.
Phoned pr law. Waiting for a phone call back from them .
All their quote team are busy. I need to find someone quick to please the
seller&estate agent. If I don't hear something from them, I'll have to try another.0 -
AC, either go with the one you know, or go with the nearest to you at a lower price. Your old one knows you and knows where the funds have come from, any other will need to see proof of where your funds are from. The included SDLT should be £840 on £167k.0

Just received an email from my usual solicitor. He wants me to forward details of cheapest quote.
What I did howeve, is go through with a fine tooth comb when speaking to p r law . They are not the cheapest, but the quote at about £17&ahalfk
Is not bad . If they are as thorough as my usual solicitor then I will use them .
Will keep you updated0 -

I can't find any reference to an English company by that name, just a New Zealand one and a US one?
Are they based in, and with an office in, Poole?0 -
You could use a conveyancer. Banks and Building Socs as lenders of mortgages win't let you use them but as you don't need a mortgage you could. Last time I used one, in Dorset actually but 20 years ago, they were more efficient and much cheaper than solicitors.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420

Thanks folks. Pr law are based in Sheffield . My solicitor based in city of London . I used him 3 times, so I guess that's why I call him my solicitor.
Amazing really. I search parkstone and I get places all over England .
Good thought about a conveyancer ,verbatim.
However, I'm gonna go for p r law. They give me a discount on their legal fees. About £300 less than my usual solicitor.
I made p r law go through with a fine tooth comb, for a very thorough service / thorough searches etc . Les than £1700.
Tomorrow should be all systems go.0
