Long time lurker to this thread.
Nice to see it is all starting to happen for you

You have had some great advice given to you & if you only take notice of 1/2 of it you will be fine & dandy.

Thanks again
After my last comment, I went to bed. Fell asleep . Felt great.
Okay, it's now 10.22pm. I normally go to bed now .
The great advice on here, keeps on coming .
So, it looks like the best thing is to proceed with everything anyway.
Whilst in parkstone, clear my head realise it's not the end of the world .
Take everything from there.
Got email from solicitor today, slightly cryptic.
He advised me to wait until he hears back from the buyers solicitors .
He thinks there are more questions- especially from the property mgt co. Who are bound to make a charge.
No exchange this week then.I saw guys on roof of first block in my close, replacing the guttering and fascia. I couldn't ask them, if they were doing the whole close , as they were in an awkward position high up .0 -

Me neither.....just rang the EA to see if my offer has been accepted, but no news. Im not going to fret, there are plenty on the market at the moment.
Glad to hear you feel better AC......amazing the difference a bit of sleep can do.
I too have been sleeping badly of late but have had two good nights in succession so actually feel quite human now.
Another glorious day here, so aiming to have an hour or so in the garden before going to Physio this afternoon.
I have a healthy casserole bubbling away in the slow cooker so I'm all organised today.
I have decided I will buy a car after all. I know technically I can manage without my own vehicle but I do miss the freedom and autonomy.
I won't be be splashing out on the Merc, unfortunately:rotfl: (not yet anyway - maybe next one). I have decided to take over DS2s little FIesta - was originally my dad's so we know it's history. My son has decided to buy an estate car as it will come in handy for tip runs and fetching and carrying building materials.
Ideally we could do with a van but dont really want three vehicles between us so a largish estate car is a good compromise. He's 6ft 3 and the fiesta is a bit of a squeeze for him. It will also reduce expenditure on skips.
Right time time to get cracking......0 -
Good luck with the car LL
Just had Vodafone call me . Just negotiated a sim only deal for£17 pm
Was £38 . I'm keeping the iPhone 5s, which I got 18 months ago on my way to hospital .0 -
great idea AC - I bought my iphone 6 outright a couple of years ago and have been on SIM only the whole time - much better and cheaper than contract
Fingers crossed you hear something today0 -
Thanks Anna
Don't think it'll be this week, due to the property mgt co. And other questions that may be raised . Probably completion last weds in October .0 -
Hey, y'all.
Harz, babe, "Water charges (average figure) = 150.00" - in Poole??? (This is an annual figure, right?)
I know you said average but I pay more than that per year in Notts in a Band A property. Compared to the almost £20 per month I pay (not factoring in the cost of having to filter every drop of this county's undrinkable water) that's £240 per year which is a pittance compared to what we were paying on a water meter in Anglian Water's region. AC is moving to the SW, to Poole, yet. I don't know what his water bill will be but just found this {Just learned to do this from a poster called Head the Ball, cool, right? Me and technology? Unmixy things}
Quite apart from anything else, AC, it seems you will have a water meter imposed on you, assuming the place you buy does not already have one. Obviously, we don't yet know the rateable value of the property you will buy but, if this is not an incentive to buy as cheaply as you can, I don't know what is.
So sorry if I have put (another) cat among the pigeons.0
