well its obvious that you have parked without permission on private land

with this number of tickets and UKPCs recent lack of income , this will end up in court ,

read that other thread , do any of those words appear on the SCS letter?

"Thanks for replies. A little more information.
The letter from SCS says in bold print DO NOT CONTACT SCS but to contact DRP.

SCS say they act for UKPC Ltd. They will obtain CCJ, send bailiffs / high court enforcement officers to remove goods from my address, apply for an order for my employer to deduct sums from my wages etc.

The solicitors letter is not signed as such. It just has SCS scribbled at the bottom which looks to be photocopy.

Full details of SCS are at the bottom. Address, reg number, SRA number etc. "

I very much doubt that this would ever get to court. UKPC are fighting multiple allegations of fraud, and, ASAIIA, have never taken anyone to court.

If its a letter before claim you should answer it. Otherwise I think they will press on and file a claim.

    Am I missing something here?

    Who owns the land?

If it's the Company you work for, what does your employment contract say about parking?

What does the "banning letter" actually say?

  • My employer owns the land,

There wasn't a letter banning me, just my manager verbally told me,
Theres nothing in my contract about parking,

On the land there are only a few signs about parking,

Plus the reason I got so many on both cars was due to lack of parking and poor signage,

The scs letter is signed by scs in pen also has the claim number written by hand, and the last page is signed by Louise ndune also by hand.
I will try to copy this letter later,
Plus another thing is why would they only be doing me for my golf? When I had more tickets on my corsa which was owned before my golf,
Thanks for the help and will get the letter uploaded shortly

I rarely see a case here where I think "blimey, this one's on thin ice" but this is it.

Regardless of the signage, after so many tickets you can hardly claim to be unaware that you were parking without authorisation. Also it seems clear that the landowner didn't want you parking here, so you'll get no help from that direction.

UKPC never goes to court over individual tickets, but has been known to do so over a large number. I think it's pretty likely that they will pursue this to court, and if that happens the outcome will depend entirely on Beavis: if Beavis wins so will you, so long as you use the magic words "not a GPEOL"; but if Beavis loses, so will you, and you'll finish up paying the lot.

It seems to me, then, that your options are (i) to fight it and pin all your hopes on Beavis or (ii) try to cut your losses by entering into negotiations over the sum payable.

Hang on Mr B, whether Beavis wins or loses, there is still no commercial justification in charging such a penalty.

The OP is trespassing, certainly, but could UKPC claim in court that they/the landowner we out of pocket to the tune of several hundred pounds, I very much doubt it.

What the landowner should do is remove the offending vehicle(s), or otherwise sanction their disobedient employee. I do not see where UKPC play a part in what appears to be a workplace dispute.

    The funny thing is,
My work has since banned me from the car park, due to the amount of tickets I have,
Which is seven on my golf, current car,
And about 10-12 on previous car, corsa,

    I'm saying nothing 7+10/12 =

What about your employee hand booK?

Is the car park attached to the work place or is it seperate land?

The question is, did you have permission to park from the Land Owner (your employer)? Your employment contract gives you an implied permission to access your employer's property for the purposes of your employment (Your contractual place of work). To restrict access to specific areas (the car park) it is best practice for employment contracts to state any restrictions to that implied permission.

Your employer, as land owner is able to make this go away. Put pressure on them to do just that.
